Hi Marie. A bit of Sopranos trivia: acclaimed actress Nancy Marchand, who played Tony's mother, Livia Soprano, learned about her cancer diagnosis before she agreed to star in the series. Lasted until season 3, and unlike her TV character, Marchand was said to be beloved by her cast mates, and was especially close to James Gandolfini :)

I think it’s more what I call the savee syndrome for lack of actual term, people get (emotionally) attached to the one helping them, I’ve seen it in real life too, girls doing something stupid and getting rescued by the lifeguard and suddenly “he’s the cutest/hottest/etc and I like him😍🥰” even though they didn’t give a shit minutes earlier, it’s a psychological thing

I always really enjoy scenes accompanied by music in movies and TV. Sopranos is really good at that. Specifically in the episodes you have watched so far episode 4 when AJ is looking at his dad at Jackie's funeral now knowing he's in the mafia. Then here in episode 6 with the FBI taking pictures of them. Christopher's mock execution in episode 3 too is worth noting.

20:47 the city here has those buses in the 90s (blue and white and black though) and I feel bad I took them for granted as a kid lol the ironic thing is, one of the general model after these that was here is now used as a nyc bus in the new avengers or whatever movie lol (which I think is also filmed in town, they often use it as a discount nyc hah) so I wonder if that one was one sent there or something

For Tony he can't change his life now because he's a captain which means he is a Made guy and in the Mafia once you become made you can't leave and if you try they will find you and kill you. When he was a associate he had the chance to leave if he decided to depending on how much he knew. Like Christopher he isn't made but he knows too much so they'd kill him if he tried to leave. Since Tony's dad Johnny was a capo means Tony probably knew alot so he wouldn't be able to walk away. Now with Tony at the very top he definitely couldn't leave.

Not to spoil anything. But he and other characters lowkey get more and more savage through out the seasons. But thanks to the writers' and actors' amazing talents... you'll still find a way to sympathize with them. It's certainly the first drastic portrayal of anti heroes on TV, but also truly one of the only ones to keep you rooting for them no matter how much you disagree with their actions/beliefs on a personal level

Fathers Arena very Important for children, if the want or not, so they're role models for their sons and the first man in their daughters Life, what influence their choice of man/partner more often according to psychiatrists. I think it's practical when Maedow is more like her mother, during it could mean hard work to bring the son on the right way. Maybe the family curse can be break some time, when any generation is a little better compared to the generation before, like Tony was better as his father and so on. I'm not sure if the little Soprano makes it not to become a criminal (in one of the last episodes he had advantages by other kids through his father), but when not, the next generation could make it, when this process in generations means: progress, not perfection!
