Meadow has always been Tonys guardian angel..her voice calls him back to life from the tree, in S1 her being drunk prevented Tony from getting wacked at the motel..her taking the lamp with the wire in it from the basement...she watches over her daddy

In season one she sang “All Through the Night” at her recital. A song about a Guardian Angel. Season 6 into explicitly named her soul as Kha.. the Guardian Angel. In fact that S6 intro song “Seven Souls” explains everything about the series finale.

My interpretation of Kevin Finnerty's coma journey is that it's Tony's identity slowly dissolving back into Infinity. In the previous episode someone hints at Finnerty sounding like Infinity through the Lexus joke, and there's the buddhist monks reinforcing the idea of the ego dissolving and becoming one with everything. I don't think he's really going to a "bad" place per se, even if there's some ominous vibes, but I think it's showing his identity being completely dissolved. I also think these two episodes are important given what happens in the final episodes, which you have already seen. But this whole first part of season 6 is full of "coma dreams" for everyone, some more obvious than others; Carmela literally sees the same light in her trip and talks about how she is nobody in that place, Vito experiences another life momentarily, and Christopher going (again) to Hollywood is a bit of a hint to another possible life for him too. Paulie is the opposite, where it's his real life the one he all of a sudden sees as if it's not his.

@gacaptain I actually don't believe Tony deserves Hell in the fire and brimstone sense of the word. That should be reserved for child molesters and the worst of the worst. I do believe that's what the show was trying to convey in that purgatory type realm he was in. That fact that his mother was in the house really solidified for me that it's Hell. She would deserve it more than Tony for trying to kill her own son. At least it was obvious Tony loved his family and would do anything to keep them safe, unlike his mother

Kevin Finnerty doesnt mean anything... i think! In the coma, Tony is still Tony, but hes a regular person working as a salesman or something, its him experiencing the life he could have had if he didnt join the mob. Its similar to how his dad could have possibly gotten out and went straight if Olivia had allowed his dad Johnny to invest money with his friend that became rich in business. Tony low key resents being a mobster but its his only way he knows how to be, hence the stress. He also envies/admires Arty for being a regular guy which is probably why he likes Charmaine. Charmaine is a baddy and Arty got her without, being a mobster and Tony because he is a mobster could never have her

Pauly wasn’t always funny style with Tony like this. In the beginning him and Silvio both were extra loyal. Pauly changed when Tony sided with Ralph on multiple occasions against Pauly because Ralph was a bigger earner. But the straw that broke Pauly’s back was when Tony sided with Ralph when Pauly was trying to get his mom in that expensive nursing home. He needs that extra bread. That’s when he took it personal.

Have you guys watched ‘The Godfather’ yet? This show is structured around that classic movie. There are soooo many references to it throughout this series. Just in this episode alone there were two and one of them was very telling about AJ’s knowledge of the film through watching it with his father: when talking about taking out Junior, AJ says “it’s difficult, but not impossible”. That movie drives the life blood of this series and I would love to watch both of you guys react to it if you haven’t already. Btw, I know I’ve said it before, but you guys are killing it in a big way with the reactions to these HBO classics. I only hope and pray that you do ‘Deadwood’ ‘Rome’ and ‘Boardwalk Empire’. I guarantee that both of you will dig them in a big way, and I will enjoy watching the reactions along with everybody else!!😎

One of the underrated parts of this episode is the fact that Paulie basically annoyed Tony out of a coma. They showed it in previous episodes how much Paulie gets on Tony’s nerves. The episode in Italy when he wouldn’t shut up, the episode when they went to Miami to see little Carmine, and this episode where he’s annoyed subconsciously

Pretty sure one the the Monks is actually Tony's surgeon/doctor during one part when he opens his eyes. I think he's just taking in all his surroundings and incorporating them into his coma. There were familiar voices, noises, lights and flashes, and even when Paulie was complaining and he was screaming inside. I don't think it was all relevant, it was just a mash-up of his surroundings and memories.

Kevin Finnerty, at least to me, is the road not traveled, and some part of Tony's consciousness really does wish he just had a normal "legitimate" life. It's easy to just chalk up Tony as a sociopath, but we've seen his dreams, and we've seen this coma dream (and near-death experience). We know he has a conscience, and his stress and anxiety are products of his mob upbringing fighting with that.

The writer is to Chrissy what Georgie is to Tony. Someone to abuse when they are overly frustrated. The bright house is just a facade for hell. Had he crossed over into that world where Livia & Tony B reside... it wasn’t going to be a cheery family party on the other side. You guys should have already picked up on who Meadow is. She’s a Guardian Angel. They symbolized that back in season 1 when she sang “All Through The Night”. And season 6 intro song named her soul as Kha... the Guardian Angel. No one ever dies in her presence. I don’t think she has ever witnessed any violence. Her presence brought Tony back from hell’s doorstep.
