The reason Ineos arent going to sack Erik is because they backed away from the typical new structure approach (identify a style of play that they want the club to adopt regardless of managers and sign player's that suit it). Instead they've gone on to sign players that Erik has worked with, who suit his "style" that are familiar with his style. In theory it should work but the risk isnt paying off. Erik's system is a 3-1-6 that requires high turnovers hence why the midfield and defence is miles apart in space. The problem is, the player profiles you need for this style would cost an additional 500-750mill in the EPL. Real Madrid, Barcelona type quality. He's asking his familiar players who played that system in eridivisie to translate it in a way harder league, its suicide 100% Ineos are aware that they've messed up, but if they sack him then theyre repeating the Woodward cycle of sacking managers and clearing players again and the fans will turn on them quickly. I think it will get very very toxic if he gets sacked

I say this as an African boy born and raised in the UK, who supports Arsenal but respects MU: This is what happens when you have too many foreigners playing in a league that they know little about... Hear me out... No foreign player will ever really know what it means to play for Man U at Old Trafford. Arsenal DNA is built on a mix of Local and International players. Man Utd DNA is built on the best of Britishness. Man U's peak was when the had the best English players in their side: Rooney, Scholesy, Becks, The Nevs, Butty, Rio, Welbeck. Gunners peak was Henry, Pires, Wiltord, Viera, Fabregas, Ljungberg, Bergkamp, Petit, Overmars, with a touch of Keown Adams and Wrighty. Man U needs passionate British boys, black white yellow green, but raised in the UK, who grew up watching Man Utd. Not Boca Juniors players who dream of playing Madrid but end up at Man Utd. I hope this makes sense.
