Great look into the sfx, glad that every layer of this game has a lot of love.

I really like the ragged texture of the sword swipe sounds. Can you talk about those in another installment?

Will do!

I love the swipe's also, and the dodge/evade sounds were spot on too.

I'll give a generic answer and say I love all the sounds in the preview! Especially the shotgun and when enemies get killed by it, has that very old school shooter squelch satisfying sound to it.

Oh yeah, baby. Flex Mode is one of the best tools for weird, crunchy sound design.

Good stuff! Q1: I was surprised you have all sounds stacked in one project, what are the advantages to this? Isn't this costly for memory? Q2: Could you explain how you catalog your sounds so you can find the one you need later? Thanks!
@AkashThakkarAudio10 жыл бұрын
Q1: It is, but it makes things easier to revise. Also, I have SO MUCH RAM. Q2: I name them something that I can remember, and also have a gigantic google doc that keeps track of everything, and lets me and the devs know what to work on next.
@RobMTube10 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply! I also figured you may have global audio settings/levels that you wanted to maintain through each sound effect. I use an old pro, so not much RAM :-P Thanks again for the tips and video, gave me a lot to think about.

Holy crap, you're like a freaking wizard! :-P Great stuff here, man. Your ingenuity in regards to crafting sounds is inspiring. I can't wait to see more! I'd also love to see a quick tut on how you made your stethoscope/microphone if you have a few extra minutes sometime. ;-)
@AkashThakkarAudio10 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I will make that stethoscope video sometime! As soon as I get a minion to help me record that!

I recently went over Omnisphere's documentation and it turns out it's OK to use it for commercial purposes when it comes to music, but NOT when it comes to sound design 😶

Funny I just finished the demo for the trillions time a second ago and was longing for more. There were some brilliant soundeffects in the demo and some weak ones. Cant wait for the final product. But take your time guys. Is feedback still appriciated? I was thinking about making a very detailed breakdown of postive and negativ stuff.

separate playing sound and talking. first just play all single sounds and whole sound, then talk, and then play again. that's it
