The sound of The Queen Bee

A queen bee just emerged is running from side to another of the frames, making that unique sound called: Piping", to inform the worker bees and any other possible queens in the hive, that she is the one in control now!

We had a Queen bee sipping the sugar water in our hummingbird feeders and she was massive, probably about an inch long. I knew not to mess with her!!!

Your queen has a very unique piping sound. It's definately the same sound but it's a single note and a single pitch. Other queens will make multiple pipes and they vary in tone, very interesting.
