My Gr Gr Gr Grandfather, Private William Andrew Turner was awarded the Southern Cross of Honor in 1911. Her served in the 6th Florida Infantry Regiment, Co. H

I have the one presented to my GG Grandfather as well as a photo of him that I assume was taken at the time of presentation in Jacksonville Florida. He was in the 7th SC infantry and went everywhere Longstreet went and lived to tell about it by the grace of God.

"God Save The South" if folks would take the time to learn the history behind the war instead of just agreeing with what they've been told, then they would see how wrong the subject is taught.

100% agree with you. The Lost Cause Myth has contaminated the thinking of people in the south with propaganda for more than 100 years. If people in the south would take the time to understand what really happened, they wouldn't be interested in flying the confederate flag and keeping monuments to traitors.

@jared4505 read books, use website that aren't mainstream media sites, look up historical archives, look at the music pieces of that time, etc.
