I have heard this from my grandpa, and might not be right: “During the war, Afghanistan kept changing roles every day. Yes, I mean “1 day over, the country is on Soviet side, 1 day over the country is on the civil side.” That way, the Afghans confused their enemy which led into a peace.

Fun fact: The Soviet trained Afghan Army held their ground for 2 years before they lost to the Mujahideen. Meanwhile the coalition trained Afghan army has folded in the first days of the attacks after the pullout.

Wrong The ANA Had Weapons and the Difference Was the ANA Under Dr Najibullah's Government Could Fight, They Whiped The Floor With Pakistan In Jalalabad 1989, The Army Was Very Strong But Only Reason It Collapsed Was Boris Yeltsin Jailed Dr Najibullahs Allies In Moscow and The KGB and Cut Aid, The West, Pakistan, Gulf Arabs, China, and America did not stop backing the Warlords and Since the ANA didnt have any money they had to ground their airforce and the rest is history. Also Dr Najibullah never left Kabul even after the Warlords took over in 1992 he stayed even after the Warlords ran away when the T4liban came in 1996. This also was the reason Pakistan and The T4liban Murdered him. Meanwhile Ashraf Ghani Ran Away and didn't use his airforce and had a cringe army

The Soviets had nothing to do with Communist Coup, that was just Amin acting against orders, the Soviets toppled Amin's Khalqist Stalinist Government for the more moderate Parchamites which advocated for Islamic Socialism (Babrak Karmal Sucks) and Dr Najibullah (Gigachad) removed Communism and had a strong army that scared the crap out of Pakistan,Dr Najibullah never left after his government collapsed due to Boris Yeltsin cutting aid while the Mujahadeen had a blank check from the west and Gulf arabs and pakistan. Even then Dr Najibullah never left Kabul from 1992 and when the warlords who overthrew him ran away when the T4liban came Dr Najibullah stayed and was Murdered by pakistan and the T4liban in 1996. fast forward Years later the ANA sucks and Ghani ran away
