Fun Fact: When they originally wrote the lore for Tigurius during the Battle for Macragge, they had him actually glimpsing inside of the entire Hive Mind. Enough people then pointed out that this feat surely implies he is powerful enough to give the Emperor a run for his money? They have since retconned the act. He is still monstrous but not quite so broken.

This also happens in the Wraithflight novel. Spirit Seer Iyanna Arienal was able to connect with the Hive Mind and survive the psychic backslash. “The Dragon was angry, and it was angry with her. For those who are wondering, The Dragon is a mythological figure in aeldari legends that symbolize mindless destruction (allegedly the Void Dragon) and the aeldari often use it to describe the Hive Mind. The SCARIEST thing is that later Iyanna implies that the Hive Mind is stronger than Slaanesh: “She thought, if only such thing could be tamed it would drive out She Who Thirst forever”.

@@wraithreaper22 It is odd creating entities and keeping their genetic memories is different than consuming literal worlds of souls and keeping every single soul and manipulating it. The hive mind likely has to send a special breed of nid to collect specific souls it wants to torture similar to how it sends genestealers to gather info they take to memories and biomass of the things they kill gaining the genetic adaptations not necessarily the soul of the victim. The doom of malan'tai was a special type of nid that was likely designed for the craft worlds after gaining memories of the eldar through consumption, meaning it can create nids that can consume souls but consuming is different still than capturing and torturing souls of those the hive mind specifically hates.

I mean his very soul crumbled apart under the weight of directing the Astronomicon, and the Emperor absolutely would have resurrected him had this not been the case (because Malcador was apparently a Perpetual though unknown if this was in the same natural manner as the others like Erda or Ollanius, or if it was a more tech based form like John Grammaticus), or Malcador would have come back by himself. So the Sigilite is long gone unfortunately, but a Warp Entity in his image is absolutely a possibility. It just won't be anything more than the deified ideal of Malcador.
