That period in history was full of countries trying to expand their power through colonization, often ignoring the rights and wellbeing of the people they invaded. Unfortunately, it took us a long time to realize how wrong and harmful that was. And even today, some countries are still trying to control or exploit the resources of others-it’s a hard truth that this mindset didn’t fully end with colonization.
