I just got mine and sadly does not seem to work with my monitor. I get a message saying out of range.. Seems my monitor cant support 720p Anyone know of any possible solutions?

Hi. Great video. But I can categorically say that the moulds used for this are unique to this device and have nothing to do with the recreated spectrum. Retro Games painstakingly measured an original issue 2 unit and created a new CAD and from that new moulds. If you look closely both top and bottom are different in various ways. Ditto with the top plate and rubber keyboard.

I'd probably get excited about this release if it wasn't for the fact that it was supposed to be Amiga maxi this year. Such a disappointment. I so hope they actually release it in Q1 next year, as the promised (probably not).

@@ThrillVermilion Please explain. The spectrum was big in the 80's, I know I had one. Technology has moved on some fold. Great for the young, but the adults prefer a mans toy like the PS5. lol Think about how long it takes to create games for the spectrum compared to the ps5. At the end of the day, it is about making money!!!

@@leavemyrightsalone This is 100% a retro thing - all about nostalgia. Look at the name of the company which produces it for a start. The appeal will be almost exclusively for people who had a ZX Spectrum back in the day. Children aren't going to be interested in a recreation of an 8-bit computer.

@@ThrillVermilion I had a spectrum when I was a child. I am not interested in getting one. "Children aren't going to be interested in a recreation of an 8-bit computer." Yet i knew quite a few children who had one at the time. Got to admit it - the appeal to have 8bit games through a HDMI lead and digital tv is interesting!
