I look forward to this show every month and Paul has such a media friendly voice that I could listen to him for hours. Glad to see the Spec drum again, haven't seen it or used it since school and it sounded so good at the time. Keep up the good work Paul :-)

Very interesting and well produced show as always, the 30 minutes fly by. I'm really impressed with the Spec Drum, if I'd have seen it in passing I would have assumed it was a novelty thing but the demo you did really impressed me. Looking forward to the next show, thanks so much for producing this.

Thank you once again for a very interesting issue of The Spectrum Show Paul. Wonderful as always. I especially like your review and try out of SpecDrum. I heard about it while watching BBC Micro and I liked what I heard back then, but I couldn't find much more information. You really covered it good here. Great Job. Along with the rest of the contents :).

Paul, I discovered your channel a few weeks ago through VectrexRoli. Just wanted to tell you how outstanding it is what you are doing. This is the by far most professionally produced show I have ever seen on KZbin. Starting with screen capture, video editing, polished text/script , articulation, sound editing, content and overall structure. I'm not aware hot much effort you put into every episode, but it must be a lot and every second of it shows. This is absolutely fabulous. Please continue what you are doing. (BTW, I was a C64, not a Speccy kid, making all of this for me even more interesting).

Hi Paul. Very interesting article about the Specdrum. I was wondering, have you heard of or even used the XRI MICON MIDI interface?. Its an add on for the Speccy for MIDI instruments containing MIDI IN OUT and THRU with SYNC in and out for old drum machines... I have one and am interested in using it and maybe doing a video...

Brilliant Paul - been going through the series and I love the episodes - they are full of your unique sense of humour and your production is as professional as anything in the msm (personally I think yours is better - honestly! It’s got genuine personality) - love the touch of giving away free your game “Deep Core Raider” - much love to you Paul 🌞

I'm really, really impressed with the Specdrum's output - not a bad little music creation package at all. Deep Core Raider looks like a nice job… I really *do* have to get messing about with Speccy homebrew releases, they tend to slip under the radar a little too much! :( Great episode as always - always the highlight of the month to see a new Speccy Show pop-up in the subs feed!

There are a lot of good games released every year for the Speccy, sadly WOS doesn't updated the archive with them, so I go here sites.google.com/site/speccy21/home

Thanks Paul for your continuing of this Spectrum show, always look forward to watching them as you release them. I was wondering if it was possible to work out which ports the SpecDrum uses, and sound effects of your own through that into your own Homebrew games, imagine the audio being played through that device, really could be awesome.

Excellent episode as always Paul. During the last section in your review of the Ocean history book, there is a remix or update of one of the Ocean loader music tracks playing. is there a KZbin link to the version of that piece of music that you use?

I noticed you use a speccy on a LCD screen and have been meaning to ask for a while how you connect it and is the image quality decent.

The 48k machine connects via composite - and it's surprising good. My 128k machines use scart which is also great.

Did you buy that SpecDrum unit from eBay fairly recently? - The reason I ask is because I sold a boxed SpecDrum that had odd burn marks on it just like that one.
@BuckingTheTrend2008
@BuckingTheTrend2008 8 жыл бұрын
No,I bought it about 8 months ago. I think the marks are from the cable and some kind of reaction. I have a few other interfaces with similar marks too.

Thanks for new episode! Question (or a couple) for you, Paul. I have a 128 +2 coming way soon (check my long post on your Episode 52). I believe I have 3 things to get: Divide, joystick port converters (Amstrad/Sinclair -> normal) and Stereo sound mod. What would be the best Divide to get? One from Lotharek's Lair (lotharek.pl/product.php?pid=128)? There are a few versions around... I think the other 2 are easier to find, as they don't have many different versions...
@miikasuominen3845

The machine arrived today and it's working well and is also in quite good condition cosmetically. Ordered joystick port converter lead and RGB-cable. It seems to be 2B (reads on the bottom, though on the menu it reads 2A). Tested with RF-lead on my 32" Sony Trinitron CRT, is the sound out the only way to get audio? There doesn't seem to be audio on RF... Could not find any clarification on technical sites from internet... Kinda sad, that there is no way to connect external cassette tape as built-in doesn't have the counter. Though I will be getting Divide. I have to look, if there are instructions how to add an "ear"-plug yourself. I will make it same time, when I install stereo mod...
