Yes, the scramble had 3 algs (6 with orozco), so relatively lucky, but not insane.

yo, yo, that looks sick.. I'm currently starting my BLD journey, and I am able to execute M2/OP without mistakes (still takes like 5 minutes atm, however I am very familiar with the lettering scheme and the technique behind these 2).. However, I am thinking about switching to orozco for corners.. What do you think, is it worth it learning Oroczo? I have some problems understanding it atm.. So if you have any tutorial recommendations, that would be super helpful!

Orozco will definitely make your corners faster, but in my opinion the point of orozco is the transition to 3-Style. JPerm has a decent tutorial for Orozco corners, although I don't know how understandable it is. You have to do quite a few sighted solves to understand the method. An intuitive understanding of commutators is also very useful. If your goal is to improve quickly you should probably wait until your corner execution is without pauses.

It's been 11 months, how is your progress?
@leokainzi8041 Жыл бұрын
@@vasnody Well, Orozco wise, no progress at all up until now HAHA I didn't practice BLD too much, however I managed to get a 1:40 something official result, and I am able to do solves under 3 minutes every single time I'd say.. And, for further practice, I started with MultiBLD (my fav event I'd say), which obviously helped a lot aswell.. I'm sure Orozco would help, however, I think there are other things to improve first.. Like letter pairs, memo speed, m2 execution speed, fingertricks.. I wanna learn it at some point though :)
@vasnody Жыл бұрын
@@leokainzi8041 you get successful solves every single time? Bruh i get like 10% success rate with m2 and eka. Wish I was as consistent as you. So doing multi BLD helped you with memo? Also good luck
@leokainzi8041 Жыл бұрын
@@vasnody Well, lets say it like that.. I can go for safe attempts with a time around 3 minutes.. But since thats not the point, I don't have 100% success rate haha.. Obviously I go for speed, and my success rate is probably sth like 30-40%

what do you recommend to get familiar with the lettering scheme?
@simon_3bld2 жыл бұрын
If you want to specifically train this just try to do only the tracing and afterwards scramble again. You should be able to immediately know the letter by only looking at the single piece without considering where it should go.

what to do when the helper and buffer needs to be swaped how to swap them
@simon_3bld Жыл бұрын
If your helper target is part of your memo you don't do anything. Do you mean edges or corners? If you can give me a scramble I might help you because I'm not sure what you mean.

@@simon_3bld I'm talking about corners and when i solve all other corners my buffer and helper needs to swap how can i swap them
@simon_3bld Жыл бұрын
@@KiWi220 If they are swapped in the end you have parity (odd number of targets/letters). You have to do a parity algorithm, e. g. a J Perm.

how do you set to only coners scramble
@simon_3bld2 жыл бұрын
On csTimer you click on WCA on the top an select 3x3x3 instead. Then on the right you can choose corners only, edges only, etc.

Bro, I can't even solve corners with my eyes opened with pochmann method... How the hell do you not get confused tracing the pieces?
@simon_3bld2 жыл бұрын
If you are familiar with the basics (understanding the method, lettering scheme, etc.) you have to make yourself aware if a cycle ends during tracing and where you have already been to. This happens if you hit the buffer piece. There you have to target a new piece that was not part of your memo before. This new cycle ends if you are at the same piece again. Now you just have to check if you have been to every corner. If you use corners only scrambles like me in the video you can only have an even number of letters. This simplifies the tracing for the start. With a little bit of practice this should be easy. I think JPerm has a few good videos on 3BLD especially with OP.
