Mikey, you are such a spice demon that it surprises me that you didn't know Jasmina's 'trick'. Lactic Acid, which is found in dairy products and beer, neutralizes the heat. Drinking water is like throwing water on a grease fire; it does no good. You should do a couple of your pre hot-pot yogurt shots before you start in on spicy foods, then have a glass of milk. You can just fill your mouth with it and let it sit for a minute, then swallow it and your mouth won't be on fire as badly.

I think adding cheese is kinda, sorta, chea(se)ting. Because, milk is useally drank after eating something spicey to reduce the burn, cheese is useally made of milk, ergo your basicly numbing down the spice by adding cheese. Still, very well done handeling the spice. I couldn't do that. Props to you all.

I love these noodles. For some reason once in a while when I eat spicy food I get diarrhea but with this stuff never get diarrhea. So good. If you want to make it taste even better put sesame oil and minced garlic also some sliced pork belly would be excellent too.

I had the regular (not 2x) and it really got to me, then I had this and looked at the SHU (which isn't on the regular pack), and when I saw it was just over 8000 it was actually a lot easier. 8500 is about as hot as a hotter jalapeno and I eat jalapenos all the time. It's absolutely hot, but it's really quite bearable. You will sweat, your eyes will water, your nose will run- but it's doable. You just can't let the packaging psyche you out. However- 8 packs between 3 people is nutty lol
