I’m loving the format change more and more. It’s so much more useful in terms of deciding to buy a game when you get to hear people having a conversation about it rather than one person stating opinions

I wonder if they'll make a 1-vs-All expansion where one player is the oil company trying to cover it up and use their PR team to greenwash everything 😅

Thanks for the review. I really enjoyed the game. Theme and simplicity gets this to the table. Younger folk and new folk warm up to this immediately. I also love how quick it is as that emboldens me to try a higher difficulty. I would choose this over pandemic for the same reasons I previously mentioned, low barrier to entry, theme, time, etc. If others liked the spill, I might suggest pandemic as a next step. (Small note, I've lost pandemic more than one should LOL)

A 6 isn’t a bad score! Cooperative games are getting to be a really crowded genre, and it’s harder and harder to stand out.

@@michaeldilisio557 ha ha. I know I know. Thanks Mike. Always appreciate your opinions and everyone at the Dice Tower. Such an honor to have DT review my first game :).

Just played this solo and it's a great little game. I get the opinions here and they're fair but definitely not every game needs to be do or die difficulty and that's why this is great

I never get tired of that credits song in the end of these reviews!

The theme of this is great and I think the dice tower and black dice really add to that quite a bit. As someone who has several cooperative games, I agree that it doesn’t really have any innovative draw that makes it stand out from others. For someone buying their first cooperative game, this is a pretty great looking option though.

This review actually made me want the game more! I agree with Tom in that I’m glad this game exists to give people who want a more accessible coop another option. I play with my kids a lot and we enjoy Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert. My older daughter likes Pandemic but my younger one isn’t into it as the disease cubes are a little too abstract. Most of my family loves Horrified but my 7yo finds some parts scary. Both my girls love the ocean and animals though, so this theme would be perfect! Add a disease cube to a city - they don’t care too much, but flip a healthy dolphin tile to a contaminated one and that would be very different 😨🥺! I don’t think a game needs to do new and different things to be great. I just want a game that does them well, and this seems to fit the bill. Looking forward to trying it!

Side note - I’m a teacher and this this would be cool to have in the classroom. I love coop games anyway for team building, but this is a great theme for science and social studies!

I feel like this is much more similar to Flashpoint Fire Rescue than Pandemic.

This one’s a 10 for me just because of the tower 😆

Mix this with isle of cats and have to save the cats from the oil spill 😂

Why stop there? Falshpoint and Pandemic were mentioned elsewhere in the comments, so let's say the cats are sick and the oil is catching fire. Easy.

Man I wish I would have seen this review before I impulse bought this one. It was really simple and easy and can’t see myself ever playing it again.
