Many years ago I did this song karaoke at the Black Women's Expo in Chicago. What was unusual was that while my back was turned and im singing the song a crowd had formed and it was being recorded on 45 disc. So when I neared the end of song, a huge crowd had formed and was clapping, and dancing, and turned around and i was astounded and so proud that I had did such a good job. I received the 45 but lost it over the year's. I promised myself if I ever went somewhere and they offered Karaoke, I would ask if they had The Spinners Could it be im falling in love, so I could do it.

I had been wondering for quite some time whether DiscoCat (the maestro of dance music remixes) would get around to "Could It Be I'm Falling In Love" by the Spinners. Well, it happened. And it sounds like the Spinners went back into the studio in 1972 and recorded the extra-long version of one of my favorite songs. DiscoCat is that fantastic, and he just got my weekend started off on a high note (pardon the pun). I first heard it way back in high school when it came out. It was back in the day when white boys like myself could enjoy music made by musicians of color and not a worry in the world. Those were some good times that may never come back again, until one runs across DiscoCat's fantastic channel of music. Then the good times come back. I just wanted everybody to know.
