Credit also goes to Phil Hurtt who wrote the lyrics. Thom Bell’s regular writing partner, lyricist Linda Creed was planning her wedding and was unavailable. Bell gave the music to Hurtt and told him the lyrics had to match the completed songs structure. What a challenge, but Hurtt made it happen.
