Since it’s a week after the eclipse at this point, and no one mentioned seeing a comet, it’s apparent that the comet did not perform as was predicted. Scientists are always promising big shiny comets but they very rarely show up as hoped.

I sure hope NASASpaceNews is going to explain how the comet, whose closest approach to earth in either of the two appearances this century is roughly 600 times further from earth than the moon is (roughly 230 million kilometres vs 380 thousand), is going to "interact with the eclipse". Any effect the eclipse could possibly have would have to occur _between_ the moon and the earth and close to a line joining the sun, moon and earth. That is, the comet would have to be significantly less than 380 thousand kilometres from the earth and be between the moon and earth on the sun-moon-earth line. And remember that 47 km/second speed. Even if, somehow, the magic of a comet being in two places at the same time can be pulled off it's not hanging around long to do much 'interacting".

I don’t think they literally meant an “interaction”, but a visual one. They are saying the eclipse would potentially make the comet easier to see. Since no one mentioned a comet (it’s a week after the eclipse at this point), I’m assuming this means the comet did not become visible as was hoped. Scientists are always promising big comets but very rarely do what they say they will.

@@--...--...--... Never denied that though did I? Lol. "Devil" in modern Western culture is depicted with horns and a pitchfork. And "devil" doesn't translate to "bearer of light" . My point stands. It's not called the Lucifer comet.

It would. We weren't raised in school to be critical thinkers or ask questions, is all. No way a rock of some kind of fire would be able to exist in a vacuum. Hopefully, people are waking up. Space is fake. It's just a huge laundromat that takes our money for CGI imagines, and this weak bread and circus. Sol / lunar system.
