I live in Oregon. Last spring on the Northeast side of Mt. Hood I thought I saw a sheep ahead ,. WE WERE AMAZED !! NO !!! it was not a sheep! we saw as soon as it stood up that it was a snow white bear. IT WAS A SPIRIT BEAR !! We are so blessed. I have searched... no..... feared running into a bear in the Oregon woods. My life will never be the same. 45 years looking for a bear ... I've seen one A SPIRIT BEAR!!!

I so agree with Herpkid 56: if only there were fewer people on this overcrowded planet and MORE BEARS!! My wish is that someday bears will take over the world and we will be subservient to the bears. I understand that Native Americans believed the Spirit Bear to be sacred. They certainly seem blessed by an awesome power and a regal stature. Spirit Bears do seem to have an aura of almost supernatural strength and power. They are very, very special bears indeed. To me, all bears are beauties!

We must protect their habitat. Stop the logging in that forest where only they exist.and ban the hunt of bears or use in entertainment. They are beautiful. Animals and should be understood and respected as we want to in life.
@ingramalastrine2617 жыл бұрын
Patricia Kunze Indeed 💝 We should try to understand animals, instead if just exploating them, and then get suprised that many of them are so hostile towards us 😉 (You know what I ment, right?)

@Asher Human convenience is way less important than these bears' lives. All life is sacred. We humans need to stop our destructive rampage across Mother Earth.

Fascinating!!!!~ I never heard of the Spirit Bear until I watched The Nature of Things. We must protect these beautiful species and our rainforest just like the First Nation people do!~

@weacoo714 жыл бұрын
What an amazing animal, I would love to see one in the wild. I've come to find out there are millions of acres protected within national parks, biosphere reserves, wildlife refuges, and conservation easements, but there is still a need to protect the habitat of unique animals such as this bear. Wildlife habitat protection should be evenly and widely distributed across all ecosystems.

spirit of the bear i am the spirit of the bear and i am in such prolonged, deep pain some humans out there think we bears are here to entertain to dance in the circus to be baited and tormented or our parts used for medicine by those humans, demented we belong to the forests, to the mountains and streams this is supposed to be our reality not just in our dreams

. The epiphanous spark suddenly ignited my sensitive Spirit Bear awareness in the most unusual situation. You see, shortly after I had successfully hunted, killed and skinned my 214th Spirit Bear, (impressive eh!), and was leisurely snacking on its tasty innards, it suddenly dawned on me as I proudly stood fitted with a finely crafted two-piece suit made of Spirit Bear skin, "this is one sexy mother fucking bear".

@Ghengis66 I already know ENGLISH. I usually have perfect, or close to perfect grammar. Lol, but those are just my beliefs. If you want to hurt such a delicate bear like this, then you should be hurt too. Except the population difference is WAY different. There are millions of people, and MAYBE 400 of those Spirit Bears at the most. Soooo, yeah.

Greetings gentlemen, may I begin by saying that we have all said some rather silly and foolish things in this thread, and likewise, we all have our apologies to make. I myself must confess that initially, I naturally and reasonably despised the so called "Spirit Bear." Hell boys, I may even go so far as to say that in my darker heathen days, I loathed that god damn, downy freak of a half bread piece of shit.

there has been some new findings in regards to the great spirt bear. First off they are all homosexual just like Rajnoma and thats why they are not repopulating. Secondly they are not all that special to begin with, they are freakin white for christ sake, making them very easy to spot. Thats how i bagged my first one, seen that sucker from mile away. lastly they make beautiful little rugs, its like a miniture version of the polar bear one i have by the fire place.

So is a white duck a spirit duck ? This is stupid. Black bears come in many colors from black to brown to tan and yes white. There are white black bears all over not just in one place like this video says. To call them spirit bears is stupid it is a black bear ! What`s next banning fishing on salmon because they are sacred food for the spirit bears? To say a raven created the world is simply a lie and to say a bird created a bear is ludicrous !
