Watching himself ACT when he was trying to avoid self Would be the most detrimental thing he could do! What he needs to do rather is to self-reflect and work on his inner child and inner self that's much more provocative than reliving pain of seeing yourself act on the screen. That would be very bad as it is not a true reflection of who he is but rather who he is pretending to be and that's what he needs to avoid.

This reminds me of the song 'Feel' by Robbie Williams, where he sings 'There's a hole in my soul. You can see it in my face. It's a real big place'. Maybe slowly appreciating what he has achieved and brought to others will fill up some of that hole, and boost his soul.

This is so smart and interesting, Tori. After you mentioned how much your dad admired Depp on 21 Jump Street, I watched a few scenes, and your dad was right. At that young age, with I’m sure at that time minimal training, Johnny Depp was amazing. And I was thinking his gift is that he’s either fully himself, or an empty vessel. I tend to think he’s very in his body. He ran away from his mom (his feelings) his whole life. He had to gloss over things in his life. There’s an element of denial. He got a tattoo while he was in his twenties of his mother’s name on his arm. There was no way he could have fully worked through all the feelings involved in their relationship. He went directly to forgiveness. He’s missing steps, but still getting to the right place. But, the steps are important for full integration. He says the only person his addictions ever hurt was himself. Big denial/blind spot right there. That’s impossible if you have people that love and care about you. I think you’re right about him watching himself. It’s another instance of missing steps and missing integration. He needs to see the whole picture when it comes to his mom. Really look and feel, and grieve what he’s been through. What he must have longed for and what he missed getting. Feel it all. And look at his pictures (movies) to feel all the wonder of himself. He’s glossing over his own gifts. People aren’t yelling his name everywhere he goes for no reason. He was given this great gift which he hasn’t acknowledged by watching his movies. He was given a heavy burden by not being acknowledged by his mother as the precious, worthy son. He’s almost carrying on his mother’s work by not acknowledging himself. There’s so much more. Amber as his mother. How they triggered each other’s attachment wounds. But, I think you’re spot on. He really would gain so much by watching his own work. That was such a good insight! I feel something with his son, too. I don’t feel addictions, just like it will take awhile for him to find his way which might cause depression. Thanks for the video, I love hearing your ideas!💜

Amazing, I don't know if it's cause my bday is June 8th, one day before Johnny but I totally understand him on every level and I to had to learn to stop giving my energy to others and specifically to those that were similar to my mom or father, even when you feel you resolved the issues, if your parent behaves wrong to you into old age it's like a wound that's constantly stabbed. It's difficult, but I think now that his mom is gone it's harder, I hope this becomes easier for him to navigate.

Well I've asked for a sign and I've got one. My mother passed away early June, the day after my birthday 🥺. Since then I've been visiting by blue jays every day 💙 I started feeding them and wistle the same chant every time. They recognize my chant and they follow me to a park close to my house. It inspired me to film them and start my KZbin page (my longtime dream). I started to look into spiritual meaning of having blue jays in your life and was amazed. Thanks for your great advice and hope to see a new video from you 🙏

Hi,he is full of light,he is a very good person,he wrecked one or 2 hotel rooms in the 90's,he is clean of drugs,and he apparently is drinking way less,why are many people still judging him by how he acted with that awful woman, he is a complex man,he is an artist, he's not a broken druggie,his open heart seems to make people pile on and feel free to say what he needs to do,and who he is, those who live with open energy and showing our wounds,may look like we are falling apart,but there is steel in the framework, he is not empty, sorry,he has good friends, and never stops creating, he is full of light and is grounded, a survivor too.

12 famous ones that I know of don't watch their movies. That wasn't what this video was about though, you may have missed the point of what I was talking about. :) I was referring to his comments about how he didn't want to be reminded of memories ... that is what I was referring to - and how it could help him never choose an AH again. Did you miss that point?
@SuperSoFlow
@SuperSoFlow 2 жыл бұрын
I think because he fell into acting, and the editing that is done after his part in projects are over he views as separate from himself and he's good with that. Music and art were his first loves. As evidence of the drawing he has been doing in court as a way to self soothe during this most uncomfortable time. I'm sure he is itching to move forward with his true passions. I doubt he will revisit his early work in order to glean any insight into himself. Acting is fantasy, and he explained it was more out of practicality of the lucrative nature of it that gave him the means to do other things he loves. The Pirates movies were hellish for him in a lot of ways, but there is little separation between Jack Sparrow and Johnny. It's sad that (evil) Disney betrayed him when he utilized that character to cheer up sick children in hospitals where ever he went. Johnny wants to be out rocking with his band that he was so rudely interrupted from doing because of this whole unnecessary circus. I hope the unfortunate choosing of A Turd hasn't jaded him to the point he doesn't trust himself to find love again. Hopefully his opening up and baring all is galvanizing his understanding of his past relationships so he can move forward in wisdom. He is helping the world see that DV doesn't just happen to the females. I related to a lot of what he described about his childhood. When both parents are emotionally unavailable to you growing up, it sets you up for some real heartache until you can begin to heal those parts that were underdeveloped. For some of us it takes the rest of our life.
@ToriHartman
@ToriHartman 2 жыл бұрын
I am familiar with some of his history. Whether he watches his movies or not - perhaps your missed what I was referring to? Finding our true history, and subsequently discovering that path of our hidden agreements with ancestors - opens up the world of multi-generational healing and is emotionally and spiritually freeing. TY! Tori

He won’t watch his movies because it’s very painful for him as he stated. And he’s ashamed and it’s a bad reminder because of the drug use. Seeing himself high or whatever he was on is not therapeutic for him. Which I can understand just like much ppl have a hard time looking at old photos of themselves when in a bad time, like sickness or addiction. It could be quite self humiliating
@ToriHartman
@ToriHartman 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It helps me to clarify! It is easier to keep emptiness in place than face the fear of shame. Shame means we are bad - and guilt is something we've done is "bad". Making a spiritual decision to heal is not pain-free. Inside all of the pain is - forgive me - the pearl. When we throw out the baby with the bathwater - we're getting rid of something very precious. His incredible talent is hidden in each relived deed... Shakespeare said it best: "Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once." True freedom is inside what we most fear.

If your father is an actor (as you say), how could that happened that you don't know who JD is? 😁 Maybe you say "who's he" because your father is an actor, not because you don't know who Johnny Depp is)) I'm not a fan of JD, but I know who he is, because I live in the society and have the internet. Don't be so false, please. That doesn't look good, sorry
@ToriHartman
@ToriHartman Жыл бұрын
I was referring to when JD was on 21 Jump street in the 80's. I never watched that show and didn't know who he was during that time. I had friends and I was out most partying! Rarely watched television when 21 Jump Street was on... that's the time I was referring to. It wasn't until Johnny Depp did movies that I knew who he was. "Don't be so false, please. That doesn't look good, sorry" :) Not sure how I was being false. That said... it costs nothing to be kind. Perhaps an inquiry, rather than labeling someone? Like - how could you not know JD? That opens up a discussion, and offers me an opportunity to clarify what I said. Thanks!
