I'm American, but I can trace my family back to Germany and North Friesland. I don't think I've ever 'resonated' with something so much in my entire life. I was drawn to Jim Morrison when I was young, and always felt a kinship with the Native American approach to the earth and spirituality.

That's very fascinating. You might have come from the Frisians during the Germanic/Celtic times. The Nothern parts of Netherlands. There is a Dutch viking movie called Redbad which was about these Frisian warriors. Maybe you like it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2O1poeqZch0rNU

Hi, new to your channel and newly concluded that I have been living with ADHD undiagnosed. Unfortunately in my case this lead me to many years of smoking weed to sort of cope with my condition. Now that I have a fresh start, meaning I am no longer using, I am seeking answers /solutions /new direction. I have always lived differently, with a more spiritual outlook and I found your video very interesting. I am from England, but have a deep connection to the Netherlands (I am actually here now as I watch this video)

@@andrewleese3840 thanks for sharing. Seems we are on a very similar path. I have been living in England for the last 10 years or. How do you found that spirituality is helping with your ADHD?

@Germanic-Wellness I am only very recently coming to the conclusion that I have ADHD...for a long time I had been addicted to cannabis and I guess that was also a sort of medication for my undiagnosed ADHD and related symptoms. I have always been interested in spirituality and lived for many years (drug free) as a Hare Krishna, but when I left them I started using weed again. Now I am a couple of months sober and I read a book about ADHD and it really familiar.

@andrewleese3840 it's challenging isn't to live in a very mundane world that isn't really for the ADHD person

@@Germanic-Wellness I think that life is meant for our spiritual growth so I am happy to have followed a different path, but definitely has been challenging.
