The Destruction of Wisdom
Muhammad ‘Ali al-Samman’s mother would often grab a few pages of Coptic texts to use them for kindling in the morning to light the family woodstove and make tea, perhaps do some cooking also. No doubt it was very nice tea, brewed thanks to the sacrifice of a few pages of unknown and lost Nag Hammadi pages, perhaps from the Gospel of Mary or lost book of Third Allogenes! The misplacing, forgetting, and random destruction of wisdom is all very much part of the story of Gnosticism on planet earth. But perhaps we can remain hopeful like the author of the Gospel of Thomas: “Know what is before your face, and what is hidden from you will be revealed to you. For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor anything buried which will not be raised.” (Saying Five of Greek Thomas)
Meditation
This passage from the Acts of Peter provides a great description of meditation practice: “Give ear; withdraw your souls from all that appears but is not truly real; close these eyes if yours, close your ears, withdraw from actions that are outwardly seen; and you shall know the reality of Christ and the whole secret of your salvation.”
“Look at God within yourself, how ‘God is Light.’ For his Nature is a glorious, many-splendored Light. He manifests the Light of his Nature to those who love Him in all the worlds…” (John of Dalyatha, Syriac Mystic)
God is the Ocean of Love.

My father was a minister and as a young girl, he told me about the Essenes and said to me that he believed Jesus studied with them. My father told me many things. He did not indoctrinate me and never forced dogma upon me. He wanted me to discover God in my own way. I was a free spirit and even at 5yrs of age I had my first experience of God, then at 11yrs of age God's voice told me 4 things that have come true. It then continued with dreams and visions which included things that would happen in the world which have happened. I would always be shown things that would happen to me in life. I've had 3 face to face encounters with Jesus and experienced God's blinding Light when He told me to return home and not take 4 singing jobs in Europe. I could write a book of the miracles. This to me gives me an idea that perhaps religion blocks a person's spiritual sensitivity to the heavenly realm. I knew about the Nag Hamadi desert writings but not the ones found in a rubbish dump in Egypt. Wow! How much more could possibly be out there and I lament over the ones that have been lost, burned and destroyed. Thank you for your findings.

Jesus knew then that most of His teachings will be burned so He sent us His Spirit that knows all things.

Just found this channel and wished to say love & thank you thank you. I was made aware of these gospels by the minister of a free thinking Congregational Church I attended. Most people don’t realize how much the Bible has been “cut and pasted” to suit religious & political agendas. Diving into these it’s easy to understand why 🙏🏼🌀✨ Blessings

Good information here.The Bible tells us in the book of Daniel that towards the end there would be an explosion of knowledge. As seekers we should not be lazy or in denial but avail ourselves of it all. Great info here.

Oh my goodness, I'm only into the first 9 minutes of your talk and you are telling us all that the Holy Spirit has revealed to me. I've said these things and more shocking things to pple at church in the most sutle way but they are addicted to the same old comforting every Sunday sermons. I always knew there was more because of my ecperiences without even having read tge bible or attending church. I had 3 visions 2 yrs ago which showed me that I will be under attack by the christian community and my friend whom I told you about had a vision of me warning me and it was all about the secrets that I could only tell to a few. There were 30 in the room. I'll have to tell you about that in more detail. I'd better be quiet now and finish listening to you. I've got a busy life at the moment but eventually I'll get back to you.

The secret book of John is really interesting a lot of truths in that book. Also Christ's Letters are more even more profound so much truth.

Are you a gnostic? If yes what kind of life does a gnostic lead? What does one need to do to become a gnostic?

You might say. The living mystic or gnostic path I follow is a bit further to the East than the old Gnostics were. I tend to like a lot of solitude, but that's just me. Before I found the path I studied the Gnostic gospels, Nag Hammadi Library, also those medieval Christian mystics that once existed (Meister Eckhart, Jacob Boehme, anonymous author of the Cloud of Unknowing, etc...). The classic Gnostics were vegetarians, and that remains a central ethical precept today as well for those following a spiritual practice about the ascension of the soul. Oh and I forgot to say that my father and mother who have gone to be with our heavenly father 8 yrs ago had no access to the internet of course and it was in the 60s when my parents were of this mind thinking. One day they both said to me that they believed they were more Easterners. My father did his theological studies at the university of WA here in Perth, Western Australia and then he took us all to America to get his doctorate at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC where Martin Luther King attended. My dad was very good friend's with the Dean who was best friends with Martin Luther King who also attended the seminary in the past. On his assassination my dad was given the privilege and the honor of writing a speech and reading it at Martin's 2nd funeral service. I remember him typing away on his little blue typewriter on orange paper as he'd run out of white paper. I've still got it. Before we moved from West Virginia to Washington DC, he had a church. He studied monday to fridsy and Friday night he would travel back to West Virginia and do all his visiting and preaching on the Sunday. He was the first white man to visit the African Americans along the Potomac River and sat on their front porches sipping cups of tea with them. He approached the Council there and pushed for them to put their area on the map and to have proper roads into their districts. My mother was a ballerina and he would write poetry on things like The Transfiguration, Invocation etc and my mom would interpret it through dance. I miss them so so much.

Always good to read Gnostic texts. The Gospel of Thomas and the Odes of Solomon have always been my favorite apocryphal books, lost books of the bible. I have them in my e-library.
