You seem to forgot about Long Island's "You can't see me" trope and why she called herself as a "Ghost". *Fun History Time* Her most notable journey was her trip to the fateful island of Guadalcanal, where she delivered the first planes to the newly finished Henderson Field. These planes would help give American forces an invaluable edge over the Japanese Navy during the Guadalcanal Campaign, with the threat of aircraft of Henderson Field constantly weighing on Japanese commanders' minds like the Sword of Damocles. It was on her way back from this supply run that she drew the ire of the heavy cruiser *Atago* and the battleship *Mutsu* . But despite being spotted by an enemy floatplane, *Long Island managed to slip out of the area without incident, blissfully unaware of her heavily armed pursuers. In short, she manage to dodged _two heavy bullets_ without even knowing at that time..thus calling herself as the "Ghost".

If you want the actual story, after she was decommissioned a cruise liner company decided to buy her and then was used on the US-Europe line she had a fire but was then repaired and bought by Rotterdam university in the Netherlands as a student’s hostel then it was later used as a migrant’s hostel then after that they scrapped her in Belgium.

How worthwhile is the Homing Beacon as an investment? I know it's not too much Core Data, but I'm curious if it's only worth to improve CVL's and not main hard-hitting CV's or CV Synergy pairs. I've been saving all my Core Data since I started playing and I'm probably going to start picking up one item a month to start pushing my higher level ships further.

@@Mindwipe96 I think I started back in June? I'm honestly not sure. I joined with 2 other friends and it was around the time of the Ashen Simulacrum Event. I had a bit over 16000. I bought a Piercing Shell, Heavy Shell, and the Pure Oxygen Torp today. I'm running for Monarch now so I figured buying the shells would help boost my current BB's and the BB's that I'll have to get to that are around lvl 70 or a bit lower. It's also a necessity at this point to help any and all BB's for higher damage. And the Pure Oxygen Torp is probably good to have a couple copies for DD's and CL/CA's for higher Torpedo damage, though they are quite the investment. Having 2 of them now (both at +6) should give me a little more help.
