Manchester United are on the way down Ipswich are on the way up and it’s Mckennas great work and he and his family love Ipswich and the surrounding areas McKenna is staying

@@anshuman1693 Manchester United are a huge club worth billions that is wonderful the sun is shining the garden is rosy but the manager will not last much longer the players have not been performing up to the level of the clubs aspirations for many years now Manchester city unfortunately are taking your mantle I don’t like city I hasten to add Manchester united are gradually dropping down the table they are no longer the scary animal that they used to be and there is a long way down to Ipswich I except that but that makes Ipswich town fc on the way up a very dangerous animal

Ben, 17th in the league if your own personal objective for Ipswich. McKenna will be targeting a good performance and hopefully 3 points in the next match. I'd imagine that McKenna accepts the idea of playing more pragmatically, but would be looking to nick a winner rather than park the bus for a draw.

Ipswich are a team of players with no ego’s or really star players , they play as a team , I don’t think Kieran will relish the ego’s of several Man Utd stars .

He'll be ours for this next season, at least. We have to do well enough to satisfy his personal ambition for progression, but perhaps not so well that he'll just be poached by a bigger club. 11th-14th would probably be necessary for us to hold on to him beyond next season.

Ben, it's not about not backing himself, it's recognising whether it is an environment to flourish in. He has that at Ipswich, but it isn't clear if that's the case at Man Utd.

exactly ,also i think big clubs like united can harbour a toxicity,especially when results are wanted straight off the bat.... he`s a young manager and still with plenty of work to do at Ipswich

@@glenuk I don't get all these rumours of Manchester United wanting to hire McKenna. I know he was on the coaching staff but he has less than three years experience in club management. Five years from now KM may well be at a "bigger" club, but I can't see Manchester United hiring someone with zero experience managing in the PL.

He's young, he's happy at Ipswich and so are his family. Why change that to go into a pressure cooker situation? He has many years ahead of him in management so why would he be in a hurry to take on one of the big pressure jobs?

@@geoffpoole483but who is to say in any case that Kieron McKenna won’t make Ipswich into a great club yes it will most probably take a few years or so but I believe that he has the making of being 1 of the all time great managers
