Those were some boney rapids, I could see anyone getting pinned in there. Awsome work getting it out, we can all learn a ton from this - I thought it was super cool how Jan made it happen with his DIY Kayak. That rapids set at the end was really sick! Awesome video and great edit, my brother and I really enjoyed watching it tonight

As a kayaker I'm very impressed by Jan's ingenuity and willingness to improvise and also yours and Matt's mad skills on that last run. Will never fathom how tandem paddlers do it. Glad you and your vessel pulled through unscathed; looking forward, as always, to your next one!

If ever there was an advert for having floatation airbags in the bow and stern of your canoe, this is it. Tying your gear in isn’t always necessary but in this situation if it had been tied in then the water wouldn’t have had the same effect on the canoe.

You may know this already, But mastering the "double haul" cast is essential for throwing streamers in the wind! In high wind I'll use a double haul side cast combo to keep the line and fly low to the water and out of the wind.
