This is the scene that got Richard Kiel to be the only henchman to appear twice. The chemistry of these 2 guys is through the roof. It's also why every scene in Moonraker had audiences in stitches. They knew they had a good thing going here.

I feel like there are a number of recurring characters in Roger's era, Jaws, Sheriff JW Pepper, Maud Adams to name a few. (Maud technically played two roles, but again, like you said, the chemistry and the strength of the performance was too good to be a one and done I guess)

Best henchman goes to Oddjob, hands down - what was ANYONE thinking? - overall best film, as film, goes to From Russia With Love or Casino Royale. Best villain? Many nominees, but I'd still vote for Gert Frobe as Goldfinger. Best Bond Girl - yeah, I'd agree with Agent XXX, with honorable mentions to Maud Adams and Honor Blackman.
@Malt4543 жыл бұрын
@UCZPBiv1oBLFe4qlB6KSU0jA- Pussy Galore was one of the few Bond girls to have an agenda of her own, instead of just being eye candy. Goldfinger had one the few plans that could actually work (short of destroying the entire world). The two of them were exceptions to the pattern of providing mere set dressing and just being wildly eccentric megalomaniacs. Vesper Lynd and Le Chiffre were also superior in both these respects, and the acting was also a cut above, which was consistent with Craig's acting as Bond.

I actually like Spy Who Love Me and Moonraker a lot, because the villains had very interesting objectives regarding a better world, rather than just financial gain like most other villains.
@kevinobrien962628 күн бұрын
At his heart, every Bond villain is avenging the fact that he has to live in hiding as a homosexual. They are mad at the world for refusing to accept the gift of his presence. Most, if not all, are receptive to the idea of taking Bond as a lover rather than killing him.
@Firemarioflower24 күн бұрын
@@kevinobrien9626 That is crap..... Drax wanted PAIRS of men and women to procreate in space. Many of the villains had their own girls. Largo had one. Colonel Moon/Gustav Graves had one, Scaragmanga had plenty of them, Renard had Elektra, Greene had one, Lechiffre, Blofeld liked women, anyone.
