The president’s racist tweets about Democratic congresswomen Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley, together known as "the Squad," stirred an uproar in Washington this week. For their only joint interview following the president's attacks, the group sat down with “CBS This Morning” co-host Gayle King on Capitol Hill to discuss a wide range of topics. In the past few years, I have lost every bit of respect I ever had for both Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King. I thank both of them for finally showing us their true colors and true intentions. They care ONLY for the wealthiest and most powerful in the world, and can no longer connect with everyday people from a place of empathy and compassion. I apologize to my black brothers and sisters who tried to tell me this for many years; at my age, I SHOULD have known and seen the effects of personal wealth in today’s day and age. I saw this and watched it because I admire these four young ladies so much. If more people would just take the time to actually LISTEN to them; they would see, hear and feel the love they have for their constituents and country. We need many, MANY more Representatives and Senators as conscientious, disconnected from special interests and lobbyists as these young ladies are. They are TRULY what our founders intended for our legislature; representative of their constituents who voted them in, devoted to trying to achieve their promises, and governing by our rules of law and US Constitution. I respect them even more seeing how they handled Gayle King-who SHOULD be ashamed of herself..but she won’t be. She’s too busy trying to play both sides...and beef up her precious ratings. I know someone else whose more concerned about ratings than caring for people; perhaps she should apply for a job with him.

Gayle King is a terrible interviewer and journalist. Her questions were unbalanced and have a very strong whiff of having been written by corporate bosses. They were not at all formulated so as to inform the public in an unbiased way. Unfortunately for her, the Squad is much smarter, and made her look like the one who is out of her league. If you're coming to an interview with these four, you better come prepared: due to their positions and the constant attacks they endure, they always come prepared; they don't have a choice but to stay prepared. As the interviewer, you should know that. Not one of them stumbled over Gayle's "gotcha" questions. Gayle needs to stick to interviewing Hollywood celebrities.

Usually, I enjoy watching Gayle King's big interviews, but here she really missed the core issue. These women are indeed the extend of a larger movement and I wished to hear more questions about that. But unfortunately and apparently, Gayle follows the mainstream media hollow narratives in where they try to nitpick on people their interpersonal relationships. I had to dislike this video (which I don't think I've ever done before), not because of The Squad, but because of Gayle King. She blatantly shows what an establishment plant she is. This is the worst interview ever. The four women agreed to sit down and discuss what happened, not constantly be interrupted. Gayle knows better than that. They are the subject of the interview, not her. I've been noticing this trend growing among "liberal" reporters lately. Like how Chuck Todd and Rachel Maddow basically lost all patience during the Democratic Debates. If you don't know how to do the job, then leave. Not the country, but the profession. Have someone come in who will ACTUALLY do what they're supposed to!
