But, if you go to an Ivy League university be prepared to pay an exorbitant amount of tuition for a prestigious education. I know a few friends who went to the Ivy Leagues and they are financially broke from their student loan debt. Meanwhile, I know one person who studied abroad at McGill University in Canada and he is making a decent living as an accountant. The bottom line is that attending an Ivy League school may no longer be worth the cost and the energy as well because these universities accept a modicum of high achieving students.

Cori Bush won after running a second time against the same long-term incumbent. It was a longer road, but she did it! First Black Congresswoman in her state of Missouri. There was a quote in here somewhere, where she talked about realizing that WE can change this for us. It felt so empowering. I have SO MUCH RESPECT for these four women and the unsung heroes behind them - whether they won or not. I saw AOC's speech after Congress broke for Thanksgiving holiday without a stimulus package and her frustration and sadness. With every win it seems there is a loss and with every loss there is a win. Trump lost, but Biden has a lot of damage to undo and every race in Congress is meaningful, not to mention holding Biden accountable. It's going to be like this for a long time, this uphill battle. But I can feel right now that America is capable of change, however bleak it looks at times. But this is not about left and right, this is about getting people in who actually care deeply about the people they will represent and who have the integrity to fight for those people and not sell them out to enrich their career or pockets. And the group in the beginning who started all this in motion - wow. I am seriously inspired. Not enough to run for Congress lol, but hoping this inspires a thousand working-class campaigns. And Bernie - you are the father of the movement. Thank you for holding a candle of hope with an alternative perspective that everyone ignored for decades. That is a lonely place to be in, but you embody dedication. This documentary made me feel proud to be American again. I have no doubt that one day West Virginia will finally receive what was taken from them - health, education, dignity. Talk about a forgotten land. I am holding the highest intention for their upliftment. No longer are we going to sit in shame for wanting a change and being told that is naive. It's not my friends. It's time.

@@waterratje1326 in America people will rather die than be taken by ambulance. Where I am from, poverty is normal. Choosing which meds you can afford to take and which week you'll chance your life on is just an acceptable risk. Recently my neighbor died due to her untreated diabetes. She had to choose insulin or groceries. She kept gambling every week. Eventually the risks cost her life. When you say, "As a European..." to many of us Americans.... the concept that you take for granted sounds like a lie. For how can a country afford you such luxuries? How can you not be killed or consumed by a system like our own? What makes you special? We Americans deserve the same but far too few can imagine that a reality.... Hopefully one day we can. @@jalicea1650 I'm from the Netherlands and here it isn't a huge problem (healthcare wise) if you are poor. People have to have a basic insurance here so they have a minimum coverage so they can buy medication and go to the doctor or hospital. If you are poor you get additional allowances so that you can pay for those medication and insurance. What I meant was that for me it is weird that people in the USA (a country that is so developed) there isn't a system that takes care of people who are having trouble getting a job or who can't even get a job because they're injured. For me I take it for granted that I have a health insurance and that I get an allowance if I don't have enough income. I know I shouldn't because there are so many countries who don't have this kind of system. However, I'd think that a country like the USA, a country that's one of the most developed ones here, would have a system like that. Btw, I don't mean my replies to be offence in any way what so ever, so if you feel offended, my apologies

Alex's whole story had me SOBBING. (Especially the ending, when she was talking about her father. That made me a wreck.) I don't think I've ever loved and admired another human being more than I do her. Between watching her adorable reactions to people on the streets praising her, and the way she listens to and wants the best for her people, I have come to look up to her so much. I honestly wish I could be best friends with her. Some of my favorite scenes were the moments right before the polls closed when she was nervous about the outcome, and when she was telling security "that's me on the screen!" so she could get into the bar. Not to mention, MAD chills when her face popped up on the screen and everyone started screaming. At that moment, my heart was bursting. Part of the reason why I love Alex so much is because I see her in me. She makes me feel empowered, like I can accomplish anything. And for that, I owe her everything. True story. I used to go to flat fix where AOC worked and she used to tell my friends and I that she was running for Congress and we thought she was BSing us. She was super nice and very intelligent but we still doubted her. A lesson I have learned from this. A) don’t judge someone cause of their job or position. B) don’t let anyone tell you can’t achieve what you want in life.

56:03 Wow. I am 19 and I had the exact same thing as Amy Vilela's daughter, a blood clot in my vein, a few months ago. But because I live in Germany, I went to the emergency center the evening it happened, had all possible tests done: blood test, ultra sonic, x ray, etc. Got presciption to medication immediately and got made a plan of what i should do and which doctors I should meet next. It got all done IMMEDIATELY and without a single thought spent on financing. In Germany, we dont need to worry about financing because our insurance covers nearly all of it, the only thing in the foreground is curing our issue. Even jobless and homeless people are ensured to have health insurance. And all the examinations and the medication were nearly FREE for me. Because I live in Germany I am cured a few months later and because she lived in the U.S. she is now dead. 😶 And the USA have the audacity to call themselves land of the free, in what way do they ensure more opportunities/freedom/human rights to people?

@oh no a German has no right to be a critic of the USA. They caused more deaths in the last hundred years than in the entire history of the western world combined. You can add all deaths Stalin committed to that also because they created a power vacuum of most of territory conquered and then lost to the Russians. Over 200 million lives lost because of Germany in ww1 and ww2. They would have waged more wars if the US and Russia not been so powerful.

The dying white majority is likely to have to adapt to a more progressive and democratic- socialist supporting young people of diverse backgrounds. @Loki the sly one I know all about the justice dems. She wasn't randomly picked, she was nominated , then considered because of her community work and not selling out for a job or corporation. She got the job that 10,000 people applied for, not 3 people . And no video link was posted, we don't need people like Trump or Biden in office, but more people like the justice Dems , Bernie Sanders and other progressives who aren't owned by corporations. Every civilized country in the world has universal healthcare except America, puppets don't that as a top priority.
