I own a 1980 one ton GMC square body camper special with a flatbed. It has the single rear wheels instead of dually. 454 engine with 65k original miles. It loves gas stations, LOL. Beautiful truck you have!!

@@HardCoreFab I had a big 20 square body. Badges on top fender. Looks like it will catch all the mud. You rite in the stake hole camper. You gonna be kicking your self on this one. Sell some shit. Get a small loan. Work extra. She's a sweet ride. Good all around truck you can pull up anywhere in. Plus a good way to bring in work if you Fab up a camper etc. Good luck Man. Somebody gonna be laffing there ass off driving out your drive. Moneys easy to get.

The top of the fender badging is would be on the C/K pickups series. The trucks after 87 are labeled R/V. They had the badges on the door, a different grill, and some other small changes.

On the regular cab square bodies, the half tons & three quarter tons were finished in 1987, but the one tons like that one there on the other hand were still in production up through 1989.

Maybe it was just the sun or the angle or whatever but the driver door and the front quarter just didn't seem to match right.. Another thing that kind of bothered me about it was the fact that they put the 3,500 badges back on the doors but didn't put on the molding. That was ridiculous. It's you all of them or none of them. I guess you can have the molding and not the 3500 badge. But the badge alone looking ridiculous on a big open door. I think myself anyway you got to keep the moldings on those trucks. Leave the moldings on the doors front quarter and the bed as well. Of course this didn't have the bed. But I swear I would look better with the door moldings left on. Divides up those big wide open doors. Myself, I painted mine with anti rock chip sort of textured paint underneath the moldings. Had an 89 jimmy GMC.. exact same truck as a K5 Blazer, just more features, little more luxury like... Mine was all white with blue interior. Of course it was cloth bucket seats in the front and a bench in the back. Traded her for a four-door Yukon. I regret that to this day. Can you call it was great little easier to get in and out of and with all leather. But was not near as cool
