Here we have another infamous team that chokes up in big moments. The so-called "Washington Capitals of the Western Conference", the Blues live up to their nickname in both past and present. Even with all of the failure, they have been screwed over both by shitty ownership and management.

You crush the hopes and dreams of the Jets in game 5 as you win the series. Then, you go seven games against the Stars in a back and fourth classic. In the second overtime period, you break through the brick wall known as Ben Bishop and win game 7 and advance to the West Finals. Your opponent is a familiar foe, the other legacy of failure known as the San Jose Sharks. By the Gods, someone is shedding their choker label this year! Game 3: You come back and score 4 goals in the second period and take a 4-3 lead. You could manage right? (Near The End of third Period): You allow a Logan Couture Goal near the end of regulation, and the game goes to OT. Let’s see what happens. (Overtime): The Refs miss a hand pass and the Sharks take a 2-1 lead heading into game 4. That’s playoff hockey for you. Game 4: You Rebound from that loss and take game 4 from the Sharks. Maybe you can take a 3-2 lead heading back home. Game 5: You absolutely destroy the Sharks in Game 5 with two goals in the last two periods. You have a 3-2 lead heading back home, can you advance to the finals? Game 6: You. Did. It. 50 plus years of suffering, but you made it. From going to the worst team in January to playing in the Cup. You get revenge on the Sharks for not only 2016, but also that game 3 loss. There is one more obstacle in the way of breaking the legacy of failure. Boston. Yep, Boston has another team that made a championship. You have a chance to avenge the 2001 Rams, and the 1970 Blues by winning your first cup, and put an end to Boston Arrogance. Will another legacy of failure break, or will Boston get another title since... February? We shall see what will go down in the SCF. SCF Game 1: Boom. You get off to a 2-0 lead and you have the momentum. This could be your first ever win in the SCF. (Mid Second Period): Boston wakes up and scores two goals to tie it up. It’s now 2-2 at the end of the second period. You can still take this game. (Third Period): Or allow two goals to Brad Marchand and Sean Kuraly, you could do that. Boston wins game 1, and you still don’t have a win in the cup finals. Still early though. Come out strong in game 2. SCF Game 2: You trade blows with Boston by scoring two goals in the first period each. The game is tied heading into OT. Maybe you can win your first cup game here. (Overtime): Carl Gunnarsson scores the winning goal and you win your first ever game in the Stanley Cup Final. Tied 1-1 heading back to St. Louis. Let’s see what you can do. SCF Game 3: You get blown the fuck out. That’s all that needs to be said. SCF Game 4: Back on Track with the win. Game 5 is back in Boston. If last round is any proof, it can be done. SCF Game 5: Absolutely chaos ensues as you take game 5. You are one win away from the cup. We may be seeing another Legacy of Failure breaking... there is an asterisk though, the refs missed a call. SCF Game 6: You.... Didn’t do it. You get blown out by a pissed Bruins team. Your fans throw Beer Cans out of anger. Shame. As for Boston, My thoughts and prayers are with David Ortiz and his family. I hope he is ok. SCF: Game 7. This is it. You can end Boston Arrogance by winning in their house. You can end the 50+ year frustration with this win... (First Period): Jordan Binnington is a brick wall and got two goals off Tuukka Rask. Looking good so far. (Second Period): You didn’t do anything. Neither did Boston. One more period to go. Don’t go full Toronto from 2013. (Third Period): You did it. You broke the Legacy of failure. No longer will you have to be reminded of choking to San Jose, Detroit, Chicago, or Boston. Tony Allman No, we just can’t capitalize on talent. Our coaches have always been complete shit. This year it seems far different. Best record after the start of 2019. Tarasenko finally steps up. O’Reilly finally steps up. Binnington and Maroon are playing like gods. Only problem is our lines are fucking terrible. Schenn should be on the 2nd line and Schwartz on the 1st for that Tarasenko chemistry. Plain and simple. Edit: We finally put Schenn on the 2nd line. Good choice Blues. Now we just refrain from choking. In terms of raw talent as well as chemistry we’re the best team right now. Should be an easy series if we stay consistent and don’t fall apart.

The last time the Blues had anything near a top draft pick was literally 15 years ago when they took Pietrangelo 4th overall, and they turn it into consistent playoff runs and a cup. A little something this video failed to mention...when the Blues were eliminated by the Red Wings in '88, they lost to their old coach, Jacques Demers, who won back-to-back Jack Adams awards in his first two seasons with the Wings and later won the Stanley Cup with Les Canadiens. Then again, there's probably only so much failure the Blues fans can handle.

In the 46 seasons since Bowman's first cup an ex-blue head coach has won, on average, every 2.7 years.
