Buffalo: The Duality of Franchise

Since the age of the Walking Mediocrity, the Bills and Sabres have gone in drastically different directions. One team has improved; and reached heights that they could have only dreamed of a few years earlier. The other has fallen to a level of despair the franchise has possibly never seen before. Despite both having plenty of similarities, the Bills and Sabres are now a duality: Polar opposites of each other.
The Bills have become the epitome of a recovered organization: Emphasizing team culture and structure. The Sabres are chaos defined: No direction, vision, and constant change without true leadership at the top. There seems to be no end in sight for either team's fortunes/misfortunes.
How could this be? This video will try to figure that out. That and shake our collective heads at the Sabres. I feel like we do this every year with them these days.

Yeah, I think Stephon Diggs was an excellent pickup for the Bills & that helped Allen immensely. Diggs runs precise routes, gets open, and makes plays: pretty much what one is looking for in a wide receiver. With too many former Sabres turning their games around with different organizations, that really reflects poorly on how the Sabres have conducted themselves in their pursuit of hockey respectability.

I've seen too many damn teams that were going to turn things around, going to erase the horrible debacles of the past, going to fix their problems, going to get over the hump, going to make their fans proud, going to do this, going to do that... and, surprise of surprises, they _don't._ Philadelphia 76ers fans might want a word with you, or Texas Rangers fans, or Edmonton Oilers fans. There's nothing wrong with cautious optimism, but given the Bills' track record, maybe keep it cautious until they make it back to the Super Bowl. And if they have a big lead in the third quarter, you can upgrade to somewhat cautious.

Just some updates to the Sabres if you’re unaware: -Sabres’ losing streak did end, bot not until tying the all-time record at 18 straight losses. -Taylor Hall was traded away to the Boston Bruins and has been doing very awesome and is akin to how he played in Edmonton. -Goalie Linus Ullmark, the only player who has been consistently good (in fact, he’s been really good this season considering his lack of defence in front) is expected to test the free agent market this off-season.
