Love how the Epilogue and Skip Button Endings tie into eachother.

You're not truly experiencing this segment if you're not looking at the full moon and the sunset Also that sandstorm made me feel like I was on Mars
@Beam9662 жыл бұрын
While I was recording, I didn't move my camera at all until the building suddenly appeared. I intentionally did it for capturing the landscape without the presence of the character. I see your point though. If only the camera pointed to the full moon and the sunset the moment those scenes appeared.

@@Beam966 thank you for documenting this moment also I like the thought of that, documenting as if there is only a camera on the landscape, rather than being a player character
@boneman16362 жыл бұрын
@@Beam966 that could've been easily fixed by simply extending the black screen until you move the screen to the sun and moon, and the sandstorm doesnt hit the same when standing still

I would've never thought a game like The Stanley Parable would make me cry, yet here we are. The skip button ending was silly yet incredibly well crafted, and so emotional. Hearing the Narrator lose it upon his final quote caused shivers all the way down my spine, only to have complete silence afterwards, hoping there would be a way out of this room where I could find him again and return to the office. The epilogue ending is something I will never forget. The combination of scenes, landscapes, and soundtrack, made this ending the best of the entire trilogy. As soon as the sandstorm kicked in and the music ramped up, this is where I lost it. Listening to this song now brings up the same emotions I felt when I first experienced this ending, to a point that someday I wouldn't be able to listen to this song ever again as the emotions will grow stronger and stronger. Something I thought I would only experience with the song that plays during Death Stranding's final quest, which I cannot listen to at all anymore despite that I cherrish this song. I hope Davey Wreden and the rest of the CrowsCrowsCrows team will stumble upon this comment someday. Thank you so much for existing. I'm in tears as I'm writing this and the song isn't even playing.

The best part about this track. At the very end of it. The same melody as the Stanley Parable 2 title screen music returns. I love it when a game tends to bring up a theme, but in a whole different light.

I'm still salty that the devs didn't release this soundtrack on Spotify. I guess they forgot to fix the upload music button. Oh well, at least KZbin has got me covered for the moment...

This takes place billions of years in the future when all life has been extinguished, the oceans have evaporated due the suns increasing luminosity, and your patheticness to continue skipping time in exponentially increasing intervals.

The Epilogue made me remember my most beloved game in my life - The Outer Wilds. The music, emotions, all of this I've also experienced in Outer Wilds.

Fan theory the Stanley parable takes place in the half life universe. And Stanley is a victim of the combine and the narrator is his conscience trying to let go. And he's in purgatory and video games was his escape which is why it's his go to place for dealing with his trauma of the fact he's dead or dying.
