I am actually nauseated by this. I used to have pride in this country, now I'm physically ill from it. I just put myself in the position of innocent families and children all over the world, especially the middle east; whose homes have been torn apart by this ghastly bloodthirsty savages that we are supposed to call a military. This isn't even coming from me. Military veterans themselves have admitted the unforgivable atrocities they committed to innocent people overseas. And I am obligated to bow down and respect them. And what's more amazing, is that innocent middle eastern civilians, the Mai Lai, Haditha, Nisour, victims sure did not receive that "unconditional right to life" that the right-wing circus spews on about. So the next time you get teary-eyed hearing this anthem, millions of innocent people all over the world from different points in time were slaughtered for nothing more than profit and control. This post 9-11 memorial from England seems so heartwarming but right after that: countless thousands of innocent men, women, and children were murdered, raped, tortured, and bombed by us. Multiple thousands more were killed than the 6,700 bloodthirsty savages that died in Afghanistan and Iraq.

@@sussex33 It's because here in America, the UK is commonly associated with English traditions and accents, even though it is more than just England. @@thecornerdude2361 Actually Wales is a principality and Northern Ireland is a constituent country - the terminology is controversial, as it is also variously described as a province or region. Only England and Scotland are historical kingdoms. In the past, when the whole of Ireland was part of the UK, Ireland was also a kingdom. Even classifying things as such is not quite right though as there is no real English or Scottish kingdom ever since the Acts of Union 1707, because they are under one United Kingdom.

It is also played every year at Windsor Castle on 9/11. Queen Elizabeth knew what having your home bombed meant since the nazis bombed Buckingham Palace and there are pictures of her in the rubble.. She really wanted to give you a little piece of home and put out on all media to come to the gates of Buckingham Palace and 5000 Americans turned up. The gates had to be opened so that people were comfortable.and they all had their Stars and Stripes little flags. Peter Jennings, one of your anchors I believe, had trouble composing himself when this was shown . Queen Elizabeth spoke to the natiion in the evening and suggested what practical help we could provide such as Search and Rescue teams, diplomacy etc. She was a fervant believer in democracy as she had seen it squashed 20 miles away over the English Channel on the French Coast.

Man, one day, these people fought a bloody war to annihilate the other, just 211 years later, they're comrades, in arms, singing each others hymns, standing side by side within the darkest hour. It's beautiful, really.

This is probably one of the best versions of the US national anthem that I’ve ever heard in my life, to think that this was sung and played by the British gives me chills, their singing, the pipe organs all of it.

I will never forget Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II's unwavering support and true sense of sadness for us, the people of the United States Of America. Her Majesty did sing the Star Spangled Banner and was it was noted that tears did come to her eyes while singing it. Britain has been our number 1 Ally and always will be. God Bless The United States Of America and God Save The Queen!! Respectfully, Dr. G. .

20+ years later and this gesture from the U.K and others is still amazing. Hearing the national anthem always gives me goosebumps as an American but hearing it sung by citizens of other nations as a sign of solidarity after a terror attack brings tears to any American’s eyes.

This was also the day that our Prime Minister invoked Article 5 of the NATO treaty and declared war on Al-Qaeda. We always had your back.

the fact that they sang our national anthem which is about us fighting them off during the War of 1812 is absolutely amazing and shows how much they care about us

Ironically, this was our anthem we had over their oppression. This shows the beauty of life and learning.

This is absolutely beyond words. With the very fact that this song was writen during the battle with Britain for our independence. Very moving and I never forget. RIP Queen Elizabeth II. With your passing, the end of a great era is closed and is now only part of the history books. Never has the American National Anthem sounded so beautiful.

Oh my goodness. This really tugs at my heart. You can see the sadness and solidarity in their individual faces, especially this one man singing with some passion. Trying hard not to cry. Failing. Thank you Britain ❤️😭

Well, all you Americans are family to us Britons whom we adore and forever keep close to our hearts. Especially when we were on our knees with the 7/7 attack and the more recent ones, such as the Manchester Arena, London Bridge and so on. From a Brit with family in the US. Much love to you all!
