I had an ok time for about 5-10 hours. And then I realized I i had done everything that was worth doing. I noticed how truly empty the cities are and how (compared to skyrim) the NPCs feel like literally robots and not people. This game made me go back and enjoy fallout 3

I did 1 full playthrough and got halfway through a second just to make sure I tried a lot of things. IMo Starfield is the defenition of AAA mid sludge. If I wasn't as stubborn as I am (plus autism) I would have dropped the game after the first 10-15 hours. The game dies by a thousand cuts. You are right about the water physics in isolation, but it goes to show a lack of care. If this game really was Tods magnus opus and the game the studio was dreaming of making for the last 25 years, we the players should not keep running into the tsunami of little issues throughout the game. Being the most positive version of myself I would say the game is 5/10 and you will forget it within 6 months of playing it.

I got about halfway through and finally lost interest in the fetch quest, load screen, boring planets game. It simply doesn't hit like Skyrim. I deleted and reinstalled Skyrim to have fun exploring.

100% This game actually got me to go back and finally try a hardcore run in Skyrim (no fast travel and all that)

The issue with water wasnt that it didnt leave footprints, its that you cant even swim at all. You could do that in fallout 3
