I dont think having less ability to move around and aim being under my control would make the game easier - it’s also the same control scheme which is now in Metroid Prime Remastered, just with a different input device

@@MarcTheCyborg Not really the same, but the remastered suffers big problems with any control scheme, you either prioritize aiming or changing beams/visor. Remastered works and is playable, but it has serious drawbacks in multiple situations, like Omega Pirate or the final Metroid Prime fight, where you constantly need to switch between beams and visor to fight specific enemies, for which you need to see the colour and use the X-ray and thermal visors to see the main enemy. Which is why Prime 4 shows weapon selection only d-pad. The point is that in Metroid Prime 1 and 2 you DON'T need to aim. You literally have no benefit of free aim in those games in 99% of the cases.

@@IIARROWS my contention wasn’t with how difficult it is to aim (all I have to do to lock my target is hold my right mouse button), but how much easier it is to MOVE and observe with a mouse and keyboard (likewise I’d say Remaster solves that issue) - the button mapping in PrimeHack gives you every option you could possibly want (including OG controls) I can’t see any viable argument as to why the GameCube tank controls would decrease the difficulty in the Ridley fight, beyond the player in question being more comfortable with them- as your options are nothing but more limited

@@MarcTheCyborg Because when you lock on and move laterally and jump, you shift! You don't do that if you don't lock on, in fact speedrunners use the scan visor to lock on thing quickly and move faster. And giving that you lock on faster and more precisely than you could do with a mouse, it's a detriment, not a bonus. Do you realise that aimbot is the primary method of cheating in FPS, right?

5:49 is the moment where I lose - instead of going for the kill, I hesitated, tried to play it TOO safe and it cost me one of the most beautiful, ballet-like fight I had in the entire game 😂 The second attempt is successful, but I play sloppier and got a bit more lucky

I think what makes SW2 work so much better than, say, Borderlands or D2, is how it goes the Diablo route and treats your loot as supplementary to your attacks, rather than the source of them. In Sw2, your loot improves your guns, while in Borderlands, your loot IS your guns. You never have to worry about Godrolls in Sw2 because you can just mash gems together to make your guns perform however you like.

When I played the original Metroid in the early 90's I had a map. I can understand the confusion tho. You see, back in the day we had a clever invention called a "pencil". When combined with another relic of the era, "paper", all games had maps. In all seriousness, I understand the navigation impaired's complaint of the lack of a built in map. What I find quite amusing however is the claim that the _only_ solution is to just memorize it and openly wonder what it was like for players in the 80's having to memorize it. 😂 We didn't.

I had an ok time for about 5-10 hours. And then I realized I i had done everything that was worth doing. I noticed how truly empty the cities are and how (compared to skyrim) the NPCs feel like literally robots and not people. This game made me go back and enjoy fallout 3

Maybe you should give another shot of metroid prime hunter on a nds / 3ds. The controls take a bit of time to accomodate, but in the end it's pretty similar to kid icarus on 3ds. My main complain on this game is the graphics that are especially bad on a XL console because of the nds limitations. I think overall etroid prime hunter is an ok game. Some boss fights are great, some (like the pillars) litterally are copy/pastes with little upgrades. There's also a multiplayer game mode where you can play as the other bounty hunters. Each bounty hunter gets a bonus on their prefered weapon: samus has a bonus on missiles, i remember the red hunter becoming invisible while standing still with the plasma beam (i forgot the others)

For context, Infinite Wealth only has NG+ in the deluxe edition (which you CAN upgrade to post purchase). Meaning buyers of the standard edition have to pay $10 for NG+

If there was a physical for the Kiryu game I would be playing it. (That does not involve japan import and a huge chunk of cash for shipping) But did not even know tere was a deluxe for Infinite Wealth. As thw only physical was a "normal" edition I guess And I will never buy digital. I guess it's so long Yakuza/Like a dragon if they are canxelling physicals.

The era in which there’s a choice between digital and physical is probably less than 10 years away from being over - but for the sake of preservation, I do wish they’d release physical copies for ALL platforms (including PC, which hasn’t happened in almost 20 years)
