I'm so glad this song has resurfaced on KZbin ,I thought it was a lost gem.I saw the Start on tv here in Montreal on a show that was similar to American Bandstand but it was in French and they played Hey You .I bought the single that same week.But after 1981 they vanished from the media.

I was very happy to find this song!. I do have a slightly later 1981 version of it which I grew up with, and like better. It was performed by a South African band simply called "Hey You". Not sure why the couldn't be more priginal with their band name, but the more rock-oriented version of the song still appeals more to me to this day. Now I know the original, too. ;-)
@HelpforDominique8 жыл бұрын
I know right?! The version you're talking about was Song 1 Side A on Pop Shop vol 13. Had it as a kid, and spent 14 years looking for it. Finally found a copy in a pawn shop. The easiest R1 I EVER spent!
