You can use the windows areas for spurs to park some additional cars for operations.

Ok that is going to be a really neat space when the layout is done. Large radius turns and maximizing the space. Love it.

Thanks so much! Hoping to get the track done asap 🚂💨

Access, access, access! The most important element to a layout. If you have it, it makes the hobby so much more enjoyable.
@NixCrossing2 жыл бұрын
Very true! With the extra height it’ll make it extremely easy to film reviews and of course wiring without having to crawl around on the floor lol 🚂💨

On my old layout at the old house i had a siding to hide or park a train in the crawl space
@NixCrossing2 жыл бұрын
That would be so cool!
@harryhenninglll1172 жыл бұрын
Hi Nick. when at my old house we had the same problem with the doors on the craw spaces. we actually cut 6 inches of the top of doors. gave just a little more space for buildings on back side of layout.
@NixCrossing2 жыл бұрын
Hey! These old houses are gems , but can be frustrating. That’s a great idea , or do a Dutch door.

Great start! You aren't wasting any time building the new layout. You should have a lot of room to run trains. I was going to ask about the $100 pond!
@NixCrossing2 жыл бұрын
Gotta try to get atleast one track rolling before Monday 😄🚂💨. I’m definitely building a new pond
@JamieMakin2 жыл бұрын
Much as I miss the old layout (both old layouts lol), this is going to be a MUCH better design for that room! Cool to see the early stages of the construction, and good luck with it.
@NixCrossing2 жыл бұрын
I miss the first layout more than the last one, but this one should be (potentially) a lot better for the room and accessibility 🚂💨

Great progress Nick! It would be nice to see trains running on the new layout for the live stream, but not imperative. Maybe a temporary oval?

We’ll definitely try to get er done this week 🤞🏻😄. I bought more wood today

Found your channel from Dakmans video (old train farm) . Train collecting is only 1 of my diseases along with vintage fans. Who made the blue box fan in your train room? I'll be following the progress on your train room. Enjoy the hobby.

Welcome to channel! Thanks so much for stopping by! King of Conrail (Dakman) is a great friend and mentor in the model train community. That fan is actually a 1980s K-Mart fan my dad restored. Has the K mart badge on the top (3 speed) with new cord.
