Very nice! Sounds like when I'd see the GG1's going through York Haven back in the day. When it was still PRR!

I just got a new in box Williams Western Maryland GP9. It looks wonderful and pulls strong, but I’m already looking to upgrade the sound. This is exactly what I need. Thanks for posting!
@NixCrossing
@NixCrossing Күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! I’d honestly recommend upgrading to an ERR soundboard for the locomotive if you intend to run it in conventional mode. If you have a DCS system , I’d recommend upgrading it to PS3. I have a few Williams pieces that run amazingly well with the PS3 upgrade kits installed.

@@NixCrossing I’ll keep that in mind! I’m just getting back into the hobby (we chatted in comments using my other channel about how good the RailSounds tender was) and I’m trying to decide what I want to do with my layout. It’s probably going to be a mix of conventional and early TMCC, and maybe some new stuff - if I get the budget lol.

I have my father's 262 (no E) that my grandfather got him in 1931. I had a Lionel Tech (who said it was in great shape) tune her up a few years ago. She still runs great, and I love the ozone smell. Looks good with the cars Dad had with it.

Thank you for watching! Always love hearing the stories on collections and where pieces came from. That smell never gets old , brings me back to when I was running trains with my dad and I could barely see over the platform.

I saw you were railfanning in Cumberland too this past weekend. The Baltimore St construction is supposed to be finished by November. When I was a kid, there was a decent train/hobby shop, but it moved and then closed. The small shop downtown is more RC cars than anything.

I don't use TMCC or DCS, but nice job on the wiring. That is pretty handy. You're going to have to show where you got that bus bar or how you made it to make all the grounds common.

I bought my K-Line PRR Scale Mikado on September 6, 2003 from Trading Post Train Shop in Cleveland, Ohio. I still have it and a NYC Mikado purchased in March of 2005. I have upgraded both of them to cruise control using the K-Line Cruise Upgrade Kits.
