The State Funeral of Thomas Kent

The State funeral of Thomas Kent, took place in his home village in Cork on Friday, 18th September 2015. He one of 16 men executed following the 1916 Rising,.
Kent was executed by firing squad following his conviction for armed rebellion in May 1916. President Michael D Higgins joined members of his family at St Nicholas' Church in Castlelyons.
Kent, who had been buried in Cork Prison, was laid to rest alongside his brothers. Taoiseach Enda Kenny delivered the graveside oration Gabriel Doherty, UCC, joins David McCullagh in studio, while John Bowman and Mary Kennedy provide commentary from Castlelyons.

Tomas Ceannt gave his allegiance to the 32 County Irish Republic proclaimed in 1916. It has no connection to the state established in 1922 by the Westminster Parliament. The army in this video waged a counter revolution against the Republic in the civil war

Legal reasons the DF were sued for failing to issue proper hearing protection a couple years ago and have since then bought very highly regarded peltor ear pro and made it a requirment that if any weapons are to be live or sim fired ear pro must be worn.

Martina Murray The dead RIC man lying in the street was a bit of a giveaway. Also, there was no colonist government. Irish MP's were IN government up to the 1918 election!!!!
