@@trailchoco The Second Life RP culture in NoPixel just needs to wither away in 5.0 by staff actually enforcing the rules already put in place. I think people look at Angel crying and go "wow im sorry thats happening to you" instead of asking "Why are you breaking down crying IRL over RP circumstances?" Like, the character is great but the connection she has from her character to her IRL self is overwhelming. NoPixel just doesn't feel like RP, it's more like IMVU. A dress-up game with guns. People are making characters that are direct exaggerations of their IRL selves, and any attack of their RP character is seen as attacks of their IRL selves. Then you have Angels. I RP aswell. I'd check myself in to a mental institution the day I shed tears over my RP character.

@@gabeminajj Excellent points. The number of people that create RP characters that are direct self inserts has always been strange to me in the GTA RP scene. I had to quit a tabletop RP group in the past because there was another player that just couldn't deal with any negative dialogue or consequences toward her characters in DnD because there was no separation between the player and characters. It just wasn't fun to be constantly walking on eggshells because no one wanted to deal with her crying if things didn't go the way she wanted them to.

By the "state" I assume this means staff are fed up and had to intervene. If so I wish staff would take a more active role more often in the server with this stuff, maybe they need to open those gov buildings just north of the city. It would be so cool if staff would log in as like the FIB or higher, to sort out things in character. I will never be a fan of discord RP and out of city resolutions, I am a big fan of staff doing things in character.

I know part of the design for 4.0 was to let the roleplayers lead the city in the direction the RP takes them, but they continually let it get so far out of hand before doing anything, with the wrong people in power
