The SteelDrivers are an amazing group and keep coming out with tremendous songs. As hard as it is to believe, they are getting better all the time "I'll Be There" my be my favorite song from them. But, "Sticks Made of Thunder" is a very close scond. God Speed!

I always feel like I've heard there songs some where before, even though I haven't. They strike an archetypal chord in soul, timeless.

Ryan Relic Actually, it’s not. Listen closely to “Baby, now that I’ve found you” by Allison Krauss and Union Station. It’s a beautiful song with a very very dark undertone that many people never pick up on. Find the lyrics and read them while you listen. That’s how I found it.

It's about the remnants of love, how, even though someone's gone, you'll remember them forever. It's special and hauntingly truthful.

Let me say this: I even love this version better than the Stapleton years. We get guitar solos now! And as usual, Tammy is so awesome, like some kind of crazy secret weapon.

I'LL BE THERE (by Steeldrivers) I'll be the cloud blocking the sunlight And I'll be the moon watching at midnight Somewhere in your dreams I'll be there. I'll be your face in the crowd for a moment In all of the place where we used to go Just look around and I'll be there

Does anyone know what key this in? I am learning the bass and this would be good practice playing with the cd? TY

LOVE this song. At the very beginning and at 3:35, Brian Truitt uses a different mandolin. :) [kind of a creepy video.]
@bigmac512909 жыл бұрын
MrsFiddlePlayer I know this comment is old, but I think that's a mandola or octave mando at the beginning.

Guitarsquatch M. You are right. :)

Yes, that is a bouzouki, similar to the Octave mandolin but with a longer neck and sounds a tiny bit more like a dobro
