Hello and welcome to Train Simulator Classic!
We're back on the Buxton Line extension for the absolutely brilliant Midland Mainline route from Just Trains! Today we're driving the remaining portion of the route from Disley right the way through to Buxton at the end of the line.
We're operating a semi fast service up this line as we do miss out some stations. That said this route is anything but fast, with our poor little Class 156 Super Sprinter trying desperately to get up to line speed, but being thwarted by the enormous hill it has to climb!Disl

Man I got a feeling that this could be their last “in house” TSC route 😢 if what the folks at the dovetail forums are saying is true. This entire midland mainline series is a certified masterpiece for TSC. Now imagine if we could have such route networks in tsw4 with full timetables and all the required locomotives

would love to see the Liv Lime St (or Manch Airport if earlier than 2020) - Cleethorpes line implemented - It is my local route and I've only seen it once, from and old Train sim game.

23:06 where you are explaining about the line that goes to the left. I am sure that there was a line that went to matlock from buxton but they stopped it years ago. I cannot remember fully though. Maybe someone can enlighten me on if im right

I think i was right i just googled it to double check! Millers dale was on that line which was one of the longest railway stations in the peak. apparently in 2021 they were in talks to re-open it. Im gathering it fell through...

I think Millers Dale is on the line that is now the Monsal Trail foot/cycle path that goes as far as Bakewell. I rode it last year and very nice it is too, great viewing points like at Monsal Head. No chance of the railway line re-opening so maybe just the cafe that was re-opening.
