As an anime-only fan who has never so much as looked at a jojo manga, I totally agree with everything you said about the fandom being annoying, especially when it comes to spoilers. Like, I'm just out here minding my own business, and then I'm suddenly bombarded with a community post talking about something I don't care for, by which point it will be too late to look away. Even for part 6, I could name at least 3 pretty big things I got spoiled on this way that I did NOT wanna know: 1. Made in Heaven's name and design 2. Pucchi being Weather's brother 3. C moon's name As such, this goes out to any and all fellow fans of the series (like METAs, for instance) who have been posting videos with unblurred spoilery thumbnails or community posts with uncensored, easily accessible spoilers: STOP. IT. You are actively ruining my (and other's) enjoyment of this show. If part 7 truly is the best one, let me experience it for myself and stop turning it into one of the worst. If I end up not enjoying part 7, it will be YOUR fault. Also, don't blame us for not reading the manga. Last I checked, you shouldn't have to do homework in order to be allowed to enjoy a show you like. Edit: I made the spoilers more easy to avoid. My bad, I shoulda done that to begin with. (SPOILER ALERT Here are some things I've been spoiled on through no fault of my own. I do agree that spoilers are pretty bad for jojo, but there's this one mha dude that spells out major plotpoints that spoil huge manga parts with thumbnails that make it obvious what he's talking about. (Also, Meta honestly isn't nearly as bad as you think when it comes to spoilers. Most of his vids are powerscaling & vs fights, so the most you get spoiled on is a stand name or the appearance of a stand, which has most likely been out for over a decade.)

Jojos is a manga AND an anime (I'd even argue the manga is the more important of the 2) You only watch the anime. That's fine. But Jojolion and Steel Ball Run have existed for a long time and crying about people simply talking about them is just silly. Nobody is doing anything wrong by making posts about the manga unless they're intentionally targeting and spoiling the anime onlies.. You're choosing to get the parts late, expecting everyone to just be silent about the manga or to spoiler tag every mention of a stand character or plot point for the years it'll take for the anime to get to it is entitled and unrealistic. You need to accept that as a disadvantage of the medium you're choosing to use to experience the series. Edit: Jojos is a special case just because the anime is so much newer than the manga. 11:20 I really like this aspect of stone free, but the thing I like the most about it and what makes it my favorite stand is how visually apparent its tricks are. Like whenever Jolyne does something cool with her stand you can just see it and understand what she did because fundamentally its just strings, we all know how strings work, contrast with Giorno having to write an essay every time he uses his power because it needs to be explained to the viewer what animal or plant he just made, what it does, why its useful, ect.

Hey Damian, as somebody who started watching you from your Jojo binges and is still a fan of the content you make today I can say that yes, I do miss the binges but honestly I think you should do what you want to with your content since as somebody who has experienced making content similar to yours I can say that making a video that I enjoy making is fun surprisingly. Stone Ocean is technically my least personally favorite part but I wouldn't call it bad. Jolyne is one of the best female protagonists I've ever seen, how can she be cool and confident yet be so gentle and caring. It's evident how she has Jotaro's punkish attitude but had Lisa Lisa's caring personality, and it feels fuzzy how she has that motherly and elder sister-like feel to her. Definitely should be respected more as a JoJo. Though my favorite character in this part would probably Emporio. He's basically Hayato with 10x the Carry capacity. The fandom of JoJo, despite being a fan myself is honestly one of the most toxic fans out there. And how they go apeshit about part skipping. Like, I don't recommend skipping parts just because you don't like what you're seeing first hand, but when something is uninteresting it's no wonder why some people just wanna move on. They act like each part is really connected to each other so tightly even though it's not and that's why I often say, consume at your own discretion and pace, never let anyone dictate how you do it.

19:07 i would’ve been a bit more disturbed by pucci’s dark grim backstory but I sat through a review of something called wings of fire where the main characters THAT ARE 7 YEAR OLDS have the people who raised attempt to kill them because their boss is evil, then they get kidnapped by someone even more evil who I expected to be the actual mentor figure. But no instead of a mentor they get someone who ties them up and only lets them down to kill adults for their entertainment. That was somehow from a children’s book, still not as bad as a l¥nching but it caught me off guard more. Edit: I just researched peril and her life is just a misery torture pain plot that’s so over the top awful I would laugh at it if I didn’t know it wasn’t a parody.

I admit I mainly watch the Jojo stuff because I don't watch other anime series and can't really relate to the non-Jojo anime content. If I did then I'd totally watch your content because I can tell you're a person who puts a lot of thought into their videos and has "media literacy," as you described it. If I decide to watch other anime in the future, then this would be the channel I go to. Props to suffering through that drunken binge watch of a series you don't even like, by the way. I hope the views and whatnot at least somewhat made it a worthy investment.
