Reni barely ever says a word and just goes about doing his thing, I adore him.

It's crazy too think looking back at this and seeing them swagger around and knowing they were going to make probably the best debut album ever is just mind boggling ✌️

Reni is just so charismatic. A GSOH, brilliant musician- all round legend.

It's a bit weird in a way, they're just there arsing around, probably unaware that what they're recording and mixing is going to genuinely change the paths of a lot of people's lives. Not everyone in the world, but those who got it, and there were lots of them and it seems to be a still growing list. Very strange, almost more mysterious and enigmatic than the not talking in interviews thing. I guess it's nice they seem to have enjoyed making the record as much as everyone still enjoys listening to it.

It's a pity the BBC haven't made an episode of that 'Classic Albums' series about the Roses debut. They've made episodes about LP's that didn't come close to being as influential. I've always wondered if Leckie thought he was producing something truly outstanding that'd still be getting talked about decades later. Who's the bloke with the long hair and the bald bloke sat on the sofas, were they the people behind Silvertone?
@e_jacob94186 жыл бұрын
grizcuz the bald bloke was Andrew Lauder, head of silvertone. And the long hair bloke was leckie himself I reckon.

If they make another series maybe they will focus on the 80s and 90s more.

I keep wondering that too where's the Classic Album episode of The Stone Roses. I keep looking out for it. Maybe we need to get up a petition going for the 30th anniversary eh?! (OMG! 30 yrs I can't be that old!!! In my head & ♡ I'm still young!)

The last thing the BBC would want to do is give this bunch of unguided miscreants publicity. Notice how little they ever got. There’s a reason for that. The band said no. And that was it. I respect them hugely.

Little did they know what a legendary piece of history they were creating here. And so fab to see them arsing about and having fun like this. No doubt a touch stir crazy but laugh out loud moments.... 'you choose to deceive me', silent dancing and Reni's chest high pants!! Stunning talent
