I think every Roses fan always knew the Heaton Park gigs would never be about Ians voice. Amazing gig though.

Thing is, without Brownie the Roses wouldn't be the Roses. Live his voice isn't great, but when it works it fits their music perfectly. To be honest you had to be there, with everyone singing along and the adrenaline and all that. On the day it all sounded amazing to me.

Sad to say the only weak point of the shows was Ian, as ever, but credit to him he didn't sound this bad on every song. I actually thought he sounded decent by his standards for much of the night, but certainly nowhere near the insane standards the rest of the band were setting.
