I'm 73, been a rock music fan since '58, and completely missed the Stone Roses back in the day, not sure they were ever a big deal in the States. If they were, it was prob just in L.A. and NYC. Love the sound of these guys, great players and fine songwriters, too. Last month I even bought myself a really cool Reni hat. Reni's obviously a genius, defined as somebody who does something extremely well which is absolutely unique. Hendrix is one of those, so are Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Captain Beefheart and even Paulie!

I'm blown away by just how good their first album was. Most bands don't start so strong. It's hard to believe this recording is from 1989. They were so solid with their music, and nobody else was doing what they were yet.

We all know this song is one of the all time best, I am here in the comments for Tony, King of Manchester... Mr Wilson! A truly awesome human and ambassador for a great city and an influential movement in a time. FAC.
