"Wow" wat a great comeback. John squire, Ian Brown, the Stones Roses inspire my life whenever i listen to their songs for the past 20 yrs. One of the best Indie Manchester Band ever produced and still it will be forever. Forever "Stone Roses" from Singapore

Sweet, I was there. Wish I could remember it though, bit of a haze. Greatest band ever, so you can stop any debate right there.

For anyone complaining about his singing just remember concerts are about BEING THERE, the atmosphere, the anticipation, the crowd, the excitement, the volume...not about chin stroking on KZbin like a bunch of whingers. I'd have given my right arm to see the Roses at their height, although they were past it by '95.

@Portis1Luv Amen. Still have the Spike Island Poster framed on the wall. If you are a fan of this era you must find the documentary "Live Forever". Can't say enough good things about this flick. When Massive Attack, Oasis, Blur, Pulp, and many more were on the scene. A true Rose never dies!!!

ian brown's singing has always been very hit and miss live. it was never about singing the notes pitch perfect, it was about the music, the lyrics, the mood! ian brown can sing like he sounds in the studio sometimes live, others, not so..

Can´t wait to hear this again...

well said. BTW Ian Brown can sing when he wants to. Heard him doing a sound check years ago. Apparently he even took singing lessons for quite a while

The Roses wilted when Reni left I'm afraid. Love them to bits but that was the end of the legend.

does anybody else notice that brow and squire keep looking at each other throughout that song. especially during the solo, perhaps challenging each other. there was obviously hostility between them and we know it started way before 95.

1) Singing live is not the same as singing while sitting down in a studio. 2) Some singers have trouble hearing their own voice with the music in the background. A lot of singers now wear earpieces to stay in tune. 3) Ian Brown doesn't give a shit and is a legend. Will be there Nov 24th 2009!

Ian let them down, right enough. I think its grand slow, the chorus gains more weight, more momentum. love to have been there, I don't like seein other people playin Squire's guitar parts, doesn't seem authentic, they're just up there bein a guitar hero

When Squire forced out Reni it was over. Its gotta go down as one biggest cock-ups in rock history. Then he followed it up with that joke band The Seahorses. Then he went even further by releasing 2 horrendous solo cds. No wonder Squire sits in a room on his own painting. Brown has gotta take some blame too. He only came up lyrics for 3 songs for Second Coming (4, Can't See Me Squire wouldn't use) It's mad, after all these I'm still pissed. And seeing The Verve at Glasto now has me fuming!

@littlefickle Valid points but Class A drugs made the 2nd comming the shadow of an album it should have been and I'd imagine they are all a lot more level headed now. Live the were always ropey, Glasgow green also wasn't anything special from where i was standing but they have had the ability to write tunes with a depth like no one else so I'd say give them a chance.
