I don't think they are underrated , i think it's just that they never sold out to the main stream media, and that's a good thing. That is why their music is always so raw and original. Got mad respect for "The Stone Roses", these guy's are Buzzin.
@GT380man8 ай бұрын
I think that’s such a spot on comment. It’s why they were contractually kneecapped after their timeless debut album. Looking back at TV interviews with Ian and John, there was no way they were going to pretend that the music “business” was anything but a steaming pile.

I love the mad Reni drumming on this! So powerful! Dare I say (controversial opinion) I'm not sure I like the sound of the drums Hannett got on this one. I feel like I want to turn them up and make them sound more echoy and big. It sounds to me like Reni is working really hard, but somehow Martin Hannett has turned him down and subdued him when he should've be allowed to ring out IMHO! I am usually a fan of Hannet's work and love Joy Division, but I'm a massive fan of Reni and his drumming, so I could be biased! Does anybody else get what I mean? The drums somehow sound subdued and distant to me. I love to know what Reni thinks!
