I love the subtle geometry of the red cymbal's bell. You can clearly see that the shape was carefully honed with tonal consistency in mind, attention paid to preserving the cymbal's overwhelmingly dry quality. And then to top it off with hammering so delicate that most trained eyes would be hard pressed to find the hammer's witness marks. Truly, this is the work of an artist

I'd suggest trying out sawblades! A local austrian band called Wolfram and The Funeral Orchestra use those as cymbals and it's so odd, would love to hear your thoughts on that 😆

I'll admit, I dig it. It looks nuts, and sounds like tapping on a thin cardboard sheet. +1 to keep it for the set.

Even when it sounds just like when wooden stick hits a metal sheet, i think it'd just be funny to have a random stop sign in your drum set. 😅

To be honest, still watching it for the lols, and still stayed due to the fact it sounded really good on certain beats. Also, how and where the frick did you find that stop sign? Let alone acquire it without council noticing?

When we were kids, there was a sign dump nearby. We went to the sign dump, took signs, hung them on the wall in my room. They were heavier than we expected (steel) and larger than we expected. I had no idea the whole time I had a really really awful sounding bad cymbal on my wall. Now I do. I learned something today.
