Saw a Storch once take off into a gale at Duxford. It looked as if it had taken off backwards. It shot up into the air and at a couple of hundred feet off the ground it was behind where it had started from.

Interesting article, thanks. Just an ask for you, though. I'm deaf and therefore have to watch you via the subtitles, however, Mrs tac, who watches along with me, notes that you speak VERY quickly, and although she speaks English, she had problems keeping up with the rapidity of your speech. For future productions, is there the chance that you might slow down a little? 0.75 is good.

Name Iron cross is only used for the medals of bravery. On vehicles its called Balkenkreuz.
@Sodbusterrod17 күн бұрын
They are 2 different crosses.

Wrong. Balkenkreuz has straight lines and the Iron Cross has angled lines. Iron Cross is used on todays "Bundeswehr"-vehicles and was used on World War ONE planes. World War TWO used "Balkenkreuz". His Storch has the correct Balkenkreuze on the wings.

Levy seems like a nice fellow, much like the folks I grew up with in northern Texas in the 50's. But, I'd have to think more than twice before getting into an airplane with a guy packing a pistol on his side. In aviation, we learn that we require intelligence, character, and judgment to stay safe. Packing heat just because you're outside your enclave is a very bad sign.
