Just stumbled on super slow training advocated by Dr. Ben. Have been doing Rippetoes Starting Strength Program. Have switched to Super Slow Training. At 70yrs am the oldest OG under the barbell at the Local YMCA. Gaining strength and endurance with no connective tissue issues.🏋🏻♂️🏊🧨🦊

I'm really interested in use the HIT system but I wonder if you achieve results without having a coach and just getting to the point where you can't complete a positive repetition. Thank you for the content.

It's more mentally than physically. You have to prep your mind for 1 set all out effort. After that static and negatives. But the real challenge is resting for 4 to 7 days. Or even 10 to 11 days. Resisting going to the gym or doing more than you should is the hard part. If you can't do that or lack the experience (I have 42 years of hit), you should have a coach.
